Getting started
Charging the battery
Your device has an internal battery that may not be fully charged when you purchase it. You should
charge the battery for at least 8 hours before you start using it for the very first time.
To charge the battery, plug the home charger cable into the USB connector on the bottom of your
device and the mains power charger into the power socket.

CAUTION!
For optimal performance of the lithium battery, note the following:
• D
o not charge the battery where the temperature is high (e.g. in direct sunlight). The battery
will stop charging when the ambient temperature is less than -10ºC (14ºF) or more than 60ºC
(140ºF).
• R
echarge the battery when it is nearly discharged. When recharging, make sure that the battery
is fully charged. Doing so can extend the battery life.
• I f the device has not been used for over a month or if you find the discharge/recharge time has
been shortened, be sure to fully discharge the battery first before recharging it. You are also
advised to fully discharge and recharge the battery once every 1~2 months.
• F ailure to follow the battery usage instructions can cause damage to your device, battery and
even bodily injury or property damage and will void the warranty.

Performing the initial start-up
1. Press and hold the POWER button for 2 seconds to turn the device on.
2. The Home screen will be displayed and the device is in Lock mode by default.
3. To unlock the device, drag the Lock icon (
) to the right. You can now use your device.

Installing the memory card
1. Open the cover on the left side of the device to locate the memory card
slot.
2. Hold the microSD card by the edges and gently insert it into the slot with
the label facing the front of your device.
CAUTION! Do not apply pressure to the centre of the memory card.
3. To remove a card, gently push the top edge of the card inwards to release
it, and then pull it out of the slot.
IMPORTANT! Before removing the memory card, you are recommended to
unmount it from the system. To unmount the memory card, tap Storage >
Unmount memory card from the Settings menu.
Connecting your device to a computer
Connect the mini-USB end of the USB cable to your device and the other end to a USB port in your
computer.
Tip: If this is the first time you connect the device to your computer, you need to install the USB
driver on your computer when prompted. The device’s USB driver is available from Mio’s website:

Operating basics
Using the POWER button
• Turning on the device
Press and hold the POWER button for 2 seconds to turn it on.
• Switching on/off the screen
Your device will automatically switch off the screen after 2 minutes (by default) of inactivity.
You can manually switch off the screen by pressing the POWER button briefly.
To turn the screen on, press the POWER button briefly and then unlock the device by dragging
the Lock icon (
) to the right.
• Turning off the device
If you are not using your device, follow these steps to turn the device
off:
1. Press and hold the POWER button for 2 seconds to open the
options window.
2. Tap the Power off option and then tap OK to turn the device off.
• Using the device in Airplane mode
When you are in an airplane or in the area where the use of wireless
radio is prohibited, enable the Airplane mode. Many of your devices
applications will continue to work (e.g. playing games or listening
music) but all wireless radios, including wireless network and
Bluetooth, on the device are turned off – it cannot send or receive
data.
1. Press and hold the POWER button for 2 seconds to open the
options window.
2. Tap Airplane mode. The Airplane mode icon (
status bar indicating that Airplane mode is on.

Navigating on the screen
To operate your device, touch the screen with your fingertip. You can perform the following actions:
• Tap
Touch the screen once with your fingertip to open items or select onscreen buttons or options.
• Tap and hold
Tap and hold on the desired item to open the pop-up menu that contains the available options
for the item.
• Drag
Tap and hold on the item and then move it to the target position without releasing your fingertip.
• Slide
Drag to the left/right (or the top/bottom) to switch to the next/previous item on the list.
• Multi-touch gestures
Move your fingertips apart or together on the screen to zoom in or out while viewing a picture or
a web page.
• Rotating the screen
For most applications, you can automatically change the screen orientation (from portrait to
landscape, and vise versa) by turning the device sideways.

Home screen
The Home screen is your starting place for tasks, providing quick access to frequently used
applications and settings.
Tip: To display the Home screen, press the HOME button on your device at any time.

Customising your device
You can customise the device through the Settings menu, including personalising the Home screen,
changing the display and sound settings, configuring the connection settings, and more.
Accessing the Settings menu
From the desktop, do one of the following to access the Settings menu:
• Tap the All Applications button (
) > Settings.
• Press the MENU button and then tap Settings.
Getting connected
Your device can access the Internet through wireless networks. You can also connect to the other
devices to share files via Bluetooth.
• WLAN
WLAN is a term used for certain types of wireless local area networks, which lets you access
the Internet through a wireless connection. To use WLAN on your device, you need access to a
wireless access point.
1. From the Settings menu, tap Wireless & networks.
2. Tap the WLAN option to turn WLAN on. The device will automatically scan for available
wireless networks.
3. Tap the WLAN settings option to display the network names and security settings (Open
network or Secured with WEP) of the detected wireless networks. The available wireless
networks will be listed in the WLAN networks section.

4. Tap a wireless network to connect.
• If you selected an open network, you will be automatically connected to the network.
• If you selected a network that is secured with WEP, enter the key and then tap Connect.
5. When your device is connected to a wireless network, the WLAN icon (
) will appear in
the Status Bar indicating the signal strength (number of bands that light up).
The next time your device connects to a previously accessed secured wireless network, you will
not be prompted to enter the WEP key again, unless you reset your device to its factory default
settings.
• Bluetooth
Bluetooth on your device operates in three different modes:
• Off: (default) Bluetooth is turned off. You cannot send/receive data using Bluetooth.
• Discoverable: Bluetooth is turned on, and all other Bluetooth-enabled devices can detect your
device.
• On: Bluetooth is turned on, and the device will be able to detect the other Bluetooth-enabled
devices, but not vice versa.
To turn Bluetooth on:
a. From the Settings menu, tap Wireless & networks.
b. T
ap the Bluetooth option to turn Bluetooth on. When Bluetooth is turned on, the
Bluetooth icon (
) appears in the Status Bar.
To pair the Bluetooth devices:
1. From the Settings menu, tap Wireless & networks > Bluetooth settings.
Tip: Tap Discoverable to make the device discoverable to other Bluetooth devices that are
within range
2. From the Bluetooth settings screen, tap Scan for devices. Your device will start scanning and
then display a list of in-range Bluetooth devices.
3. Tap a device from the list to initiate pairing.
4. When prompted, enter the PIN code and then tap OK.
5. On the other device, enter your device’s PIN code to accept the pairing.
6. Once the pairing is completed, you can now start sharing data between the devices.

Managing the available memory
You can check and manage the device memory, including the external and internal memory.
If you want to...

Check the memory status,
1. From the Settings menu, tap Storage.
2. Check the memory status from the following section: Memory
card, Data storage, and Internal storage.
Remove applications,
1. From the Settings menu, tap Applications > Manage applications.
2. Select the application you want to remove and then tap Uninstall.
Stop running services,
1. From the Settings menu, tap Applications > Running services.
2. Select the process item you want to stop.
3. Read the warning message and then tap Stop.
Erase the device contents,
1. From the Settings menu, tap Privacy > Factory data reset.
2. Read the warning message and then tap Reset device.
3. Tap Erase Everything.

Erste Schritte
Akku laden
Ihr Gerät ist mit einem internen Akku ausgestattet, der beim Kauf eventuell nicht vollständig geladen
ist. Laden Sie den Akku mindestens 8 Stunden lang auf, bevor Sie das Gerät zum ersten Mal benutzen.
Schließen Sie zum Aufladen des Akkus das Kabel des Heimladegerätes am USB-Anschluss an der
Unterseite Ihres Gerätes und den Netzanschluss an eine Steckdose an.

VORSICHT!
Bitte beachten Sie zur Optimierung Ihrer Akkuleistung folgende Hinweise:
• Laden Sie den Akku nicht bei hohen Temperaturen auf (z. B. im direkten Sonnenlicht). Bei
Umgebungstemperaturen unter -10 °C und über 60 °C wird das Aufladen des Akkus ausgesetzt.
• Laden Sie den Akku nach, wenn er nahezu entleert ist. Achten Sie beim Aufladen darauf, dass
der Akku grundsätzlich komplett geladen wird. Auf diese Weise lässt sich die Akkulaufzeit
verbessern.
• Falls Sie das Gerät längere Zeit (länger als einen Monat) nicht genutzt haben oder deutlich
verkürzte Lade-/Entladezeiten bemerken, entleeren Sie den Akku unbedingt vollständig, bevor
Sie ihn wieder aufladen. Wir empfehlen, den Akku alle 1 – 2 Monate komplett zu entladen und
anschließend wieder vollständig aufzuladen.
• Bei Nichtbeachtung der Hinweise zum richtigen Umgang mit dem Akku können Beschädigungen
des Gerätes, des Akkus bis hin zu Sachschäden und Verletzungen eintreten; zusätzlich erlischt die
Garantie.

Zum ersten Mal einschalten
1. Halten Sie die Ein-/Austaste zum Einschalten des Gerätes 2 Sekunden gedrückt.
2. Der Startbildschirm wird angezeigt, das Gerät ruft standardmäßig den Sperrmodus auf.
3. Ziehen Sie das Schloss-Symbol (
Gerät benutzen.
) zur Freigabe des Gerätes nach rechts. Jetzt können Sie Ihr

Speicherkarte installieren
1. Öffnen Sie die Abdeckung an der linken Geräteseite; darunter befindet sich
der Speicherkartenschlitz.
2. Halten Sie die microSD-Karte an den Kanten, stecken Sie sie vorsichtig in
den Schlitz, wobei das Etikett in Richtung Vorderseite Ihres Gerätes zeigt.
VORSICHT! Üben Sie keinen Druck auf die Mitte der Speicherkarte aus.
3. Drücken Sie zum Entfernen sanft auf die Kante der Karte; dadurch springt
diese ein Stück heraus. Ziehen Sie sie aus dem Steckplatz.
Wichtig! Bevor Sie die Speicherkarte entfernen, sollten Sie sie aus dem
System auswerfen. Tippen Sie zum Auswerfen der Speicherkarte im
Einstellungsmenü auf Speicher > Speicherkarte auswerfen.
Ihr Gerät an einen Computer anschließen
Schließen Sie das Mini-USB-Ende des USB-Kabels an Ihr Gerät und das andere Ende an einen USBPort Ihres Computers an.
Tipp: Falls Sie das Gerät zum ersten Mal mit Ihrem Computer verbinden, müssen Sie den USB-Treiber
auf Ihrem Computer installieren, sobald Sie dazu aufgefordert werden. Der USB-Treiber des Gerätes

Grundbedienung
Ein-/Austaste
• Gerät einschalten
Halten Sie die Ein-/Austaste zum Einschalten 2 Sekunden gedrückt.
• Bildschirm ein-/ausschalten
Ihr Gerät schaltet sich nach 2 Minuten (standardmäßig) Inaktivität aus. Sie können den
Bildschirm durch kurzes Drücken der Ein-/Austaste manuell ausschalten.
Drücken Sie zum Einschalten des Bildschirms kurz die Ein-/Austaste, geben Sie das Gerät dann
durch Ziehen des Schloss-Symbols (
) nach rechts frei.
• Gerät abschalten
Falls Sie Ihr Gerät nicht benutzen, befolgen Sie zum Ausschalten diese
Schritte:
1. Halten Sie die Ein-/Austaste zum Öffnen des Optionen-Fensters 2
Sekunden.
2. Tippen Sie auf die Option Ausschalten und dann zum Abschalten
des Gerätes auf OK.
• Gerät im Flugzeugmodus verwenden
Wenn Sie sich in einem Flugzeug oder einer Umgebung befinden, in
der die Nutzung von Drahtlosfunk verboten ist, aktivieren Sie bitte
den Flugzeugmodus. Viele Ihrer Geräteanwendungen funktionieren
weiter (z. B. Spiele oder Musikwiedergabe), doch der gesamte
Drahtlosfunk am Gerät, inklusive WLAN-Netzwerk und Bluetooth,
wird ausgeschaltet – es können keine Daten empfangen oder gesendet
werden.
1. Halten Sie die Ein-/Austaste zum Öffnen des Optionen-Fensters 2

• Ziehen
Tippen und halten Sie das Element, verschieben Sie es dann an die Zielposition, ohne Ihre
Fingerspitze vom Bildschirm zu lösen.
• Wischen
Ziehen Sie zum Aufrufen des nächsten/vorherigen Elements in der Liste nach links/rechts (bzw.
oben/unten).
• Multitouch-Gesten
Bewegen Sie Ihre Fingerspitzen beim Betrachten eines Bildes oder einer Webseite zum Vergrößern
oder Verkleinern auseinander oder zusammen.
• Bildschirm drehen
Bei den meisten Anwendungen können Sie die Bildschirmausrichtung durch Drehen des Gerätes
automatisch ändern (vom Hoch- ins Querformat und umgekehrt).

Startbildschirm
Der Startbildschirm ist Ihr Startpunkt zur Durchführung von Aktionen; er bietet schnellen Zugriff auf
häufig verwendete Anwendungen und Einstellungen.

Ihr Gerät anpassen
Sie können das Gerät über das Einstellungsmenü anpassen, inklusive Personalisierung
des Startbildschirms, Änderung der Anzeige- und Toneinstellungen, Konfiguration der
Verbindungseinstellungen und mehr.
Auf das Einstellungsmenü zugreifen
Führen Sie über den Desktop zum Zugreifen auf das Einstellungsmenü
eine der folgenden Aktionen aus:
• Tippen Sie auf die Schaltfläche Alle Anwendungen (
Einstellungen.

• Drücken Sie die Menü-Taste, tippen Sie dann auf Einstellungen.
Verbindung herstellen
Ihr Gerät kann über WLAN-Netzwerke auf das Internet zugreifen. Außerdem können Sie zur Freigabe
von Dateien per Bluetooth eine Verbindung zu anderen Geräten herstellen.
• WLAN
WLAN ist ein Begriff, der bestimmte Arten kabelloser lokaler Netzwerke bezeichnet, über die
Sie per Drahtlosverbindung auf das Internet zugreifen können. Zur Nutzung von WLAN an Ihrem
Gerät benötigen Sie Zugang zu einem WLAN-Zugangspunkt.
1. Tippen Sie im Einstellungsmenü auf WLAN & Netzwerke.
2. Tippen Sie zum Einschalten von WLAN auf die WLAN-Option. Das Gerät sucht automatisch
nach verfügbaren WLAN-Netzwerken.
3. Tippen Sie zur Anzeige von Netzwerknamen und Sicherheitseinstellungen (offenes oder mit
WEP gesichertes Netzwerk) der erkannten WLAN-Netzwerke auf WLAN-Einstellungen. Die
verfügbaren Drahtlosnetzwerke werden im Bereich WLAN-Netzwerke aufgelistet.

4. Tippen Sie zum Verbinden auf ein WLAN-Netzwerk.
• Wenn Sie ein offenes Netzwerk ausgewählt haben, werden Sie automatisch mit dem
Netzwerk verbunden.
• Wenn Sie ein mit WEP gesichertes Netzwerk ausgewählt haben, geben Sie den Schlüssel
ein, tippen Sie dann auf Verbinden.
5. Wenn Ihr Gerät mit einem WLAN-Netzwerk verbunden ist, erscheint das WLAN-Symbol
(
) in der Statusleiste und zeigt die Signalstärke an (Anzahl der leuchtenden Segmente).
Wenn sich Ihr Gerät das nächste Mal mit einem gesicherten WLAN-Netzwerk verbindet, auf das
Sie zuvor bereits zugegriffen haben, müssen Sie den WEP-Schlüssel nicht erneut eingeben, sofern
Sie Ihr Gerät nicht auf die werkseitigen Standardeinstellungen zurückgesetzt haben.
• Bluetooth
Bluetooth arbeitet an Ihrem Gerät in drei verschiedenen Modi:
• Aus: (Standard) Bluetooth ist ausgeschaltet. Sie können keine Daten per Bluetooth senden/
empfangen.
• Sichtbar: Bluetooth ist eingeschaltet und alle anderen Bluetooth-fähigen Geräte können Ihr
Gerät erkennen.
• Ein: Bluetooth ist eingeschaltet und das Gerät kann andere Bluetooth-fähige Geräte erkennen,
selbst jedoch nicht erkannt werden.
So schalten Sie Bluetooth ein:
a. Tippen Sie im Einstellungsmenü auf WLAN & Netzwerke.
b. Tippen Sie zum Einschalten von Bluetooth auf die Bluetooth-Option. Wenn Bluetooth
eingeschaltet ist, erscheint das Bluetooth-Symbol (
) in der Statusleiste.
So koppeln Sie Bluetooth-Geräte:
1. Tippen Sie im Einstellungsmenü auf WLAN & Netzwerke> Bluetooth-Einstellungen.
Tipp: Tippen Sie auf Sichtbar, damit das Gerät von anderen Bluetooth-Geräten in der Nähe
erkannt werden kann.
2. Tippen Sie im Bildschirm Bluetooth-Einstellungen auf Nach Geräten suchen. Ihr Gerät
beginnt mit der Suche und zeigt eine Liste in der Nähe befindlicher Bluetooth-Geräte an.
3. Tippen Sie zum Start der Kopplung auf ein Gerät aus der Liste.
4. Geben Sie bei Aufforderung den PIN-Code ein, tippen Sie dann auf OK.
5. Geben Sie an dem anderen Gerät zum Akzeptieren der Kopplung den PIN-Code Ihres Gerätes ein.
6. Sobald die Kopplung abgeschlossen ist, können Sie mit der Datenaustausch zwischen den
Geräte beginnen.

Procedimientos iniciales
Cargar la batería
El dispositivo cuenta con una batería interna que puede no estar completamente cargada en el
momento de su adquisición. Debe cargar la batería durante al menos 8 horas antes de empezar a
utilizarla por primera vez.
Para cargar la batería, enchufe un extremo del cable del cargador al conector USB de la parte inferior
del dispositivo y el otro a la toma de corriente.

ATENCIÓN!
Para un rendimiento óptimo de la batería, observe las siguientes medidas:
• No recargue la batería cuando la temperatura sea alta (por ejemplo, con luz solar directa).
La batería detendrá la carga cuando la temperatura ambiente sea inferior a -10 ºC (14 ºF) o
superior a 60 ºC (140 ºF).
• Recargue la batería cuando esté prácticamente descargada. Cuando realice la recarga, asegúrese
de que la batería se cargue por completo. De esta forma podrá prolongar el período de vida útil
de la batería.
• Si no va a utilizar el producto durante un prolongado período de tiempo (más de un mes) u
observa que el tiempo de descarga y recarga se ha reducido, asegúrese de descargar primero
completamente la batería antes de volverla a cargar. También es aconsejable descargar y
recargar completamente la batería una vez cada 1 o 2 meses.
• S i no sigue las instrucciones de uso de la batería, se pueden producir daños en el dispositivo y en la
batería, así como lesiones personales o daños materiales. Además, la garantía quedaría invalidada.

Instalación de la tarjeta de memoria
1. Abra la tapa del lado izquierdo del dispositivo para localizar la ranura de la
tarjeta de memoria.
2. Sujete la tarjeta microSD por los bordes e insértela suavemente en la
ranura con la etiqueta mirando hacia la parte delantera del dispositivo.
ATENCIÓN! No presione la parte central de la tarjeta de memoria.
3. Para extraer una tarjeta, empuje suavemente el extremo superior de la
tarjeta hacia adentro para liberarla, y a continuación extráigala de la ranura.
¡IMPORTANTE! Antes de extraer la tarjeta de memoria, se recomienda
desmontarla del sistema. Para desmontar la tarjeta de memoria, toque

Principios básicos de funcionamiento
Utilizar el botón de ENCENDIDO/APAGADO
• Encender el dispositivo
Presione y mantenga el botón ENCENDIDO durante 2 segundos para encenderlo.
• Encendido/apagado de la pantalla
Su equipo apagará automáticamente la pantalla después de 2 minutos (valor predeterminado)
de inactividad. También puede apagar manualmente la pantalla pulsando el botón ENCENDIDO
brevemente.
Para encender la pantalla, pulse el botón ENCENDIDO y, a continuación, desbloquee el
dispositivo arrastrando el icono Bloquear (

• Apagado del dispositivo

Conexión

4. Toque una red inalámbrica para conectarse.

Mise en route
Charger la batterie
Votre appareil est doté d’une batterie interne qui peut ne pas être complètement chargée lorsque
vous l’achetez. Vous devez charger la batterie pendant au moins 8 heures avant de l’utiliser la
première fois.
Pour charger la batterie, branchez le câble du chargeur domestique dans la prise Micro USB située en
bas de votre appareil et le chargeur secteur dans la prise murale.

ATTENTION!
Pour des performances optimales de la batterie, prenez note des points suivants :
• Ne pas charger la batterie quand la température est élevée (par exemple, en plein soleil). La
batterie arrête de se recharger lorsque la température ambiante est inférieure à -10ºC (14ºF) ou

• Rechargez la batterie quand elle est presque déchargée. Lors de la recharge, assurez-vous que la

Installation de la carte mémoire
1. Ouvrir le cache sur le côté gauche de l’appareil pour trouver la fente de la
carte de mémoire.
2. Tenez la carte microSD par les côtés, puis insérez-la doucement dans la
fente, l'étiquette faisant face à l'avant de l'appareil.
ATTENTION! N’appliquez aucune pression au centre de la carte mémoire.
3. Pour enlever une carte, poussez délicatement le bord supérieur de la carte
dans la fente pour la libérer. Tirez-la ensuite hors de la fente.
IMPORTANT ! Avant de retirer la carte mémoire, nous vous conseillons de
la démonter du système. Pour démonter la carte mémoire, tapez Stockage
> Démonter la carte mémoire depuis le menu Réglages.
Connexion de votre appareil à un ordinateur
Raccordez l’extrémité mini-USB du câble USB à votre appareil et à l’autre extrémité à un périphérique
USB de votre ordinateur.
Astuce : Si c’est la première fois que vous connectez l’appareil à l’ordinateur, vous devez installer le

Personnalisation de votre appareil
Vous pouvez personnaliser l’appareil à l’aide du menu Réglages, y compris pour personnaliser l’écran
Accueil, modifier les paramètres d’affichage et de son, configurer les paramètres de connexion, et
bien plus encore.
Accéder au menu Réglages
Depuis le bureau, effectuez l’une des actions suivantes pour accéder au
menu Réglages :
• Tapez le bouton Toutes les applications (
) > Réglages.
• Appuyez sur le bouton MENU, puis tapez Réglages.
Se connecter
Votre appareil peut établir une connexion à Internet par les réseaux sans fil. Vous pouvez aussi le
connecter à d’autres appareils pour partager des fichiers via Bluetooth.
• LAN sans fil (WLAN)
WLAN (ou LAN sans fil) est un terme utilisé pour certains types de réseaux locaux sans fil, qui
vous permettent d’établir une connexion à Internet au moyen d’une connexion sans fil. Pour
utiliser un réseau LAN sans fil (WLAN) sur votre appareil, vous devez accéder à un point d’accès
sans fil.
1. Depuis le menu Réglages, tapez Sans fil et réseaux.
2. Tapez l’option WLAN pour mettre en marche le réseau local sans fil. L’appareil va balayer
automatiquement à la recherche de réseaux sans fil.
3. Tapez l’option Réglages LAN sans fil (WLAN) pour afficher les noms de réseaux et les
paramètres de sécurité (Réseau ouvert ou Sécurisé avec WEP) des réseaux sans fil détectés. Les
réseaux sans fil à disposition seront énumérés dans la rubrique de réseaux LAN sans fil (WLAN).

4. Tapez un réseau sans fil pour la connexion.
• Si vous sélectionnez un réseau ouvert, vous serez connecté automatiquement au réseau.
• Si vous sélectionnez un réseau sécurisé avec WEP, saisissez la clé, puis tapez Connecter.
5. Quand votre appareil est connecté à un réseau sans fil, l’icône LAN sans fil (WLAN) (

va apparaître dans la Barre d’état, indiquant la force du signal (le nombre de bandes qui
s’allument).
Lors de la prochaine connexion de votre appareil à un réseau sans fil sécurisé précédemment
utilisé, vous n’aurez pas besoin de saisir la clé WEP de nouveau, à moins que vous ne réinitialisiez
votre appareil à ses valeurs par défaut (réglage usine).
• Bluetooth
Bluetooth sur votre appareil fonctionne de trois modes différents :
• Arrêt : (par défaut) Bluetooth est éteint. Vous ne pouvez pas envoyer/recevoir de données
avec Bluetooth.
• Localisable : Bluetooth est allumé et tous les appareils compatibles Bluetooth peuvent
détecter votre appareil.
• Marche : Bluetooth est allumé, l’appareil pourra détecter les autres appareils compatibles
Bluetooth, mais pas vice-versa.
Pour activer Bluetooth :
a. Depuis le menu Réglages, tapez Sans fil et réseaux.
b. Tapez l’option Bluetooth pour mettre Bluetooth en marche. Quand Bluetooth est allumé,
l’icône Bluetooth (
) apparaît dans la Barre d’état.
Pour apparier les appareils Bluetooth :
1. Depuis le menu Réglages, tapez Sans fil et réseaux > Réglages Bluetooth.
Astuce : Tapez Localisable pour rendre l’appareil localisable aux autres appareils Bluetooth
qui sont à portée.
2. Depuis l’écran de réglages de Bluetooth, tapez Balayer à la recherche d’appareils. Votre
appareil va commencer à balayer, puis il affichera une liste d’appareils Bluetooth à portée.
3. Tapez un appareil de la liste pour procéder à l’appariement.
4. Quand vous y êtes invité, saisissez le code PIN, puis tapez OK.
5. Sur l’autre appareil, saisissez le code PIN de votre appareil pour accepter l’appariement.
6. Une fois que l’appariement est terminé, vous pouvez commencer le partage des données entre
les deux appareils.

Operazioni preliminari
Caricamento della batteria
Il dispositivo dispone di una batteria interna che potrebbe non essere completamente carica al
momento dell’acquisto. È necessario caricare la batteria per almeno 8 ore prima dell’uso iniziale.
Per caricare la batteria, inserire il cavo del caricatore domestico nel connettore USB posto nella parte
bassa del dispositivo ed il caricatore di alimentazione di rete nella presa di corrente.

ATTENZIONE!
Per ottenere prestazioni ottimali dalla batteria si noti quanto segue:
• Non caricare la batteria in presenza di alte temperature (per es. alla luce diretta del sole). Se la
temperatura ambientale è inferiore a -10ºC (14ºF) o superiore a 60ºC (140ºF), la batteria cesserà
di caricarsi.
• Ricaricare la batteria quando è quasi completamente scarica. Durante la carica, assicurarsi che la
batteria venga caricata completamente al fine di prolungare la durata della batteria.
• Se non si utilizza il prodotto per un periodo di tempo prolungato (oltre un mese) oppure se si
sono ridotti i tempi di scaricamento/caricamento, assicurarsi di scaricare completamente la
batteria prima di caricarla. Si consiglia inoltre di scaricare e caricare completamente la batteria
una volta ogni 1~2 mesi.
• L a mancata osservanza delle istruzioni per l’uso della batteria potrebbe causare danni al
dispositivo o alla batteria e persino lesioni personali o danni materiali, rendendo nulla la garanzia.

Installazione della scheda di memoria
1. Aprire il coperchio sul lato sinistro del dispositivo per individuare lo slot
della scheda di memoria.
2. Tenere la scheda microSD per i bordi e inserirla delicatamente nello slot
con l’etichetta rivolta verso la parte anteriore del dispositivo.
ATTENZIONE! Non esercitare pressioni sul centro della scheda di memoria.
3. Per asportare una scheda, spingere delicatamente l'estremità superiore
della scheda verso l'interno in modo da sganciarla, poi tirarla fuori dalla
fessura.
IMPORTANTE! Prima di togliere la scheda di memoria, si raccomanda di
disinstallarla dal sistema. Per disinstallare la scheda di memoria, dal menu
Impostazioni toccare Memoria > Disinstalla scheda.
Connessione del dispositivo ad un computer
Collegare l’estremità mini-USB del cavo al dispositivo e l’altra estremità alla porta USB del computer.
Suggerimento: Se è la prima volta che si collega il dispositivo al computer, quando viene richiesto
bisogna installare il driver USB sul computer. Il driver USB del dispositivo è disponibile sul sito web di

Uso del tasto Alimentazione
• Accensione del dispositivo
Tenere premuto il pulsante POWER per 2 secondi per accenderlo.
• Accendere/spegnere lo schermo
Il dispositivo spegnerà automaticamente lo schermo dopo 2 minuti (valore predefinito)
d’inattività. È possibile spegnere manualmente lo schermo premendo brevemente il pulsante
POWER
Per accendere lo schermo, premere brevemente il pulsante POWER e quindi sbloccare il
dispositivo trascinando l’icona Blocco (
) verso destra.
• Spegnimento del dispositivo
Se non si sta utilizzando il dispositivo, seguire la procedura sottostante
per spegnerlo:
1. Tenere premuto il pulsante POWER per 2 secondi per aprire la
finestra options.
2. Toccare l’opzione Spegni e quindi OK per spegnere il dispositivo.
• Uso del dispositivo in modalità aereo
Quando ci si trova su un aereo o in una zona in cui l’uso dei segnali
radio wireless è vietato, abilitare la modalità Aereo. Molte delle
applicazioni del proprio dispositivo continueranno a funzionare (p.es.
i giochi o la musica) ma tutti i segnali radio wireless, compreso la rete
wireless e Bluetooth, sono disattivati, pertanto non si potranno inviare
o ricevere dati.
1. Tenere premuto il pulsante POWER per 2 secondi per aprire la
finestra opzioni.
2. Toccare Modalità aereo. L’icona Modalità aereo (

Navigazione sullo schermo
Per utilizzare il dispositivo, toccare lo schermo con la punta del dito. Si possono eseguire le seguenti
operazioni:
• Toccare
Toccare una volta lo schermo con la punta del dito per aprire un elemento o selezionare pulsanti
od opzioni sullo schermo.
• Toccare e tenere premuto
Toccare e tenere premuto col dito l’elemento desiderato per aprire il menu a tendina che contiene
le opzioni disponibili per quell’elemento.
• Trascinare
Toccare e tenere premuto l’elemento, quindi spostarlo nella posizione scelta senza togliere la
punta del dito su di esso.
• Far scorrere
Trascinare a sinistra/destra (o verso l’alto/basso) per passare al successivo/precedente elemento
della lista.
• Gesti multi-touch
Allargare o avvicinare le punte delle dita sullo schermo per ingrandire o ridurre con lo zoom
un’immagine o una pagina web.
• Ruotare lo schermo
Per molte applicazioni è possibile modificare automaticamente l’orientamento dello schermo (da
vista verticale ad orizzontale e viceversa) ruotando il dispositivo di lato.

Personalizzazione del dispositivo
Si può personalizzare il dispositivo grazie al menu Impostazioni, compresa la personalizzazione della
schermata Home, cambiare il display e le impostazioni audio, la configurazione delle impostazioni di
connessione e molto altro.
Accesso al menu Impostazioni
Dal desktop, eseguire una delle seguenti operazioni per accedere al menu
Impostazioni:
• Toccare il pulsante Tutte le applicazioni (
) > Impostazioni.
• Premere il pulsante MENU e quindi toccare Impostazioni.
Connessione
È possibile accedere ad internet dal dispositivo attraverso le reti wireless. È inoltre possibile
connettersi ad altri dispositivi per condividere i file tramite Bluetooth.
• WLAN
WLAN è un termine usato per certi tipi di reti locali wireless che consentono l’accesso ad internet
attraverso una connessione wireless. Per utilizzare una WLAN sul proprio dispositivo, bisogna
trovarsi in un punto di accesso wireless.
1. Dal menu Impostazioni, toccare Wireless e reti.
2. Toccare l’opzione WLAN per attivare la WLAN. Il dispositivo effettuerà automaticamente la
scansione delle reti wireless disponibili.
3. Toccare l’opzione Impostazioni WLAN per visualizzare i nomi delle reti e le impostazioni
di sicurezza (Rete aperta o Protetto con WEP) delle reti wireless rilevate. Le reti wireless
disponibili saranno elencate nella sezione Reti WLAN.

4. Toccare la rete wireless alla quale connettersi.
• Se si è selezionato una rete aperta, si verrà automaticamente collegati ad essa.
• Se si è selezionato una rete protetta con WEP, inserire il codice e poi toccare Connetti.
5. Una volta che il dispositivo è connesso ad una rete wireless, l’icona WLAN (
) appare
nella Barra di stato per indicare la forza del segnale (numero di bande che si accendono).
La volta successiva che il dispositivo si collegherà ad una rete wireless protetta alla quale si è già
acceduto in precedenza, non verrà più chiesto di inserire il codice WEP, a meno che non si siano
ripristinate le impostazioni predefinite di fabbrica.
• Bluetooth
Il Bluetooth sul dispositivo funziona in tre diverse modalità:
• Off: (predefinito) il Bluetooth è disattivato. Non si può inviare/ricevere dati con il Bluetooth.
• Rilevabilità: Il Bluetooth è attivo e tutti gli altri dispositivi abilitati Bluetooth possono rilevare
il proprio dispositivo.
• On: Il Bluetooth è attivo e il dispositivo sarà in grado di rilevare gli altri dispositivi abilitati
Bluetooth ma non viceversa.
Per attivare Bluetooth:
a. Dal menu Impostazioni, toccare Wireless e reti.
b. T
occare l’opzione Bluetooth per attivare Bluetooth. Quando il Bluetooth è attivo, la sua
icona (
) appare nella Barra di stato.
Per abbinare i dispositivi Bluetooth:
1. Dal menu Impostazioni, toccare Wireless e reti > Impostazioni Bluetooth.
Suggerimento: Toccare Rilevabilità per rendere il dispositivo visibile ad altri dispositivi
Bluetooth che si trovano a portata.
2. Dalla schermata Impostazioni Bluetooth, toccare Esegui scansione per dispositivi. Il
dispositivo effettuerà la scansione e quindi visualizzerà l’elenco dei dispositivi Bluetooth a
portata.
3. Toccare un dispositivo nell’elenco per iniziare l’abbinamento.
4. Quando richiesto, inserire il codice PIN e poi toccare OK.
5. Sull’altro dispositivo, inserire il codice PIN del dispositivo per accettare l’abbinamento.
6. Una volta completato l’abbinamento, è possibile iniziare la condivisione dei dati tra i
dispositivi.

Aan de slag
De batterij opladen
Het apparaat bevat een interne batterij die bij aankoop mogelijk niet volledig is opgeladen. U moet
de batterij gedurende minstens 8 uur opladen voordat u deze voor het eerst gebruikt.
Om de batterij op te laden, steekt u de kabel van de oplader in de USB connector onderop het
apparaat en de stekker in het stopcontact.

VOORZICHTIG!
Houd rekening met het volgende voor optimale prestaties van de batterij:
• De batterij niet opladen bij een hoge temperatuur (bijv. in direct zonlicht). De batterij stopt met
laden als de omgevingstemperatuur lager is dan -10 ºC of hoger dan 60 ºC.
• Laad de batterij op als deze bijna leeg is. Zorg ervoor dat de batterij volledig wordt opgeladen.
Dit kan de levensduur van de batterij verlengen.
• Als u het apparaat gedurende een langere periode niet gebruikt (langer dan een maand) of u
merkt dat de oplaad-/ontlaadtijd korter is geworden, moet u er voor zorgen dat u de batterij
eerst volledig ontlaadt voordat u hem weer oplaadt. U wordt ook geadviseerd om de batterij elke
één tot twee maanden volledig te ontladen en weer op te laden.
• Het niet opvolgen van de gebruiksaanwijzingen voor de batterij kunnen het apparaat en de
batterij beschadigen en zelfs lichamelijk letsel of schade aan eigendommen opleveren en de
garantie teniet doen.

De eerste keer starten
1. Houd de aan/uit-knop 2 seconden ingedrukt om het apparaat in te schakelen.
2. Het Startscherm verschijnt en het apparaat is standaard in de Vergrendelde stand.
3. Om het apparaat te ontgrendelen, sleept u het pictogram Slot (
apparaat nu gebruiken.

De geheugenkaart plaatsen
1. Open de kap aan de linkerkant van het apparaat om bij de sleuf voor de
geheugenkaart te komen.
2. Houd de microSD-kaart bij de randen vast en druk hem voorzichtig in de
sleuf, waarbij het etiket naar de voorkant van het apparaat wijst.
VOORZICHTIG! Oefen geen druk uit op het midden van de geheugenkaart.
3. Om een kaart te verwijderen, duwt u voorzichtig de bovenste rand van de
kaart naar binnen om deze te ontgrendelen en trek de kaart vervolgens uit
de sleuf.
BELANGRIJK! Aangeraden wordt om de geheugenkaart van het systeem
te ontkoppelen voordat u hem verwijdert.Om de geheugenkaart te
verwijderen, tikt u op Opslag > Geheugenkaart ontkoppelen in het menu
Instellingen.
Het toestel aansluiten op een computer
Sluit het Micro-USB-einde van de USB-kabel aan op het apparaat en het andere einde op een USBpoort in uw computer.
Tip: Als dit de eerste keer is dat u het apparaat op uw computer aansluit, moet u het USBstuurprogramma op de computer installeren als daarom wordt gevraagd. Het USB-stuurprogramma
is beschikbaar op de website van Mio: http://miocare.mio.com/

Basisbediening
De aan/uit-knop gebruiken
• Het apparaat inschakelen
Houd de aan/uitknop 2 seconden ingedrukt om het in te schakelen
• Het scherm in- en uitschakelen
Het apparaat schakelt het scherm automatisch uit als er 2 minuten (standaard) geen activiteit is
geweest. U kunt het scherm met de hand uitschakelen door even op de aan/uitknop te drukken.
Om het scherm in te schakelen, drukt u even op de aan/uitkknop en ontgrendelt u het apparaat
door het pictogram Slot (
) naar rechts te slepen.
• Het apparaat uitschakelen
Ga als volgt te werk om het apparaat uit te schakelen als u het niet
gebruikt:
1. Houd de aan/uitknop 2 seconden ingedrukt om het venster opties
te openen.
2. Tik op de optie Uitschakelen en vervolgens op OK om het
apparaat uit te schakelen.
• Het apparaat in de vliegtuigmodus gebruiken
Als u zich in een vliegtuig bevindt, of in een omgeving waar het gebruik
van draadloze radio verboden is, schakelt u de Vliegtuig-modus in.
Veel toepassingen op het apparaat blijven werken (zoals het spelen
van games of het luisteren naar muziek) maar alle draadloze radio,
waaronder draadloos netwerk en Bluetooth, worden uitgeschakeld het apparaat kan geen gegevens verzenden of ontvangen.
1. Houd de aan/uitknop 2 seconden ingedrukt om het venster opties
te openen.
2. Tik op Vliegmodus. Het pictogram Vliegmodus (
) verschijnt
in de statusbalk om aan te geven dat de Vliegtuigmodus is
ingeschakeld.

Op het scherm navigeren
Om het apparaat te bedienen, raakt u het scherm met uw vingertop aan. U kunt het volgende doen:
• Tikken
Raak het scherm eenmaal aan met uw vingertop om de items te openen en de knoppen of opties
op het scherm te selecteren.
• Tikken op en vasthouden
Tik op het gewenste item en houd het vast om het pop-upmenu te openen dat de beschikbare
opties voor het item bevat.
• Slepen
Tik op het item en houd het vast, en verplaats het vervolgens naar de gewenste positie zonder
het los te laten.
• Schuiven
Sleep naar links of rechts (of naar boven of beneden) om naar het volgende of vorige item in de
lijst te gaan.
• Multi-touch gebaren
Schuif uw vingertoppen uit of naar elkaar op het scherm om in of uit te zoomen terwijl u een
afbeelding of een webpagina bekijkt.
• Het scherm draaien
Bij de meeste toepassingen kunt u automatisch de schermstand veranderen van staand in liggend
door het apparaat op zijn kant te houden.

Het Starts cherm is uw uitgangspunt voor taken, waar u snel toegang hebt tot veelgebruikte
toepassingen en instellingen.
Tip: U kunt op elk gewenst moment op de knop Begin drukken om het startscherm weer te geven.

Het apparaat aanpassen
U kunt het apparaat aanpassen met het menu Instellingen, zoals aanpassen van het Start scherm,
veranderen van de instellingen voor weergave en geluid, configureren van de verbindingsinstellingen,
enzovoort.
Het menu Instellingen openen
Ga op het bureaublad als volgt te werk om het menu Instellingen te
openen:
• Tik op de knop Alle toepassingen (
) > Instellingen.
• Druk op de knop MENU en tik op Instellingen.
Een verbinding maken
Uw apparaat heeft via draadloze netwerken toegang tot internet. U kunt ook via Bluetooth verbinding
met andere apparaten maken om bestanden te delen.
• WLAN
WLAN is een term die gebruikt wordt voor bepaalde soorten draadloze lokale netwerken en
waarmee u toegang hebt tot internet via een draadloze verbinding. Om WLAN op uw apparaat te
gebruiken, hebt u toegang nodig tot een draadloos toegangspunt.
1. Tik in het menu Instellingen op Draadloos en netwerken.
2. Tik op de optie WLAN om WLAN in te schakelen. Het apparaat zoekt automatisch naar
beschikbare draadloze netwerken.
3. Tik op de optie WLAN-instellingen om de netwerknamen en beveiligingsinstellingen weer
te geven (open netwerk of beveiligd met WEP) van de draadloze netwerken die gevonden
zijn. De beschikbare draadloze netwerken worden weergegeven in het gedeelte voor WLANnetwerken.

4. Tik op een draadloos netwerk om verbinding te maken.
• Wanneer u een open (niet-beveiligd) netwerk selecteert, wordt u automatisch verbonden
met het netwerk.
• Als u een netwerk selecteert dat met WEP is beveiligd, typt u de WEP (beveiligings)-sleutel
en tikt u op Verbinding maken.
5. Wanneer uw apparaat verbinding heeft met een draadloos netwerk, wordt het WLANpictogram (
) weergegeven in de statusbalk en ziet u de signaalsterkte (aantal verlichte
balken).
De volgende keer dat uw apparaat verbinding maakt met een beveiligd draadloos netwerk dat
u eerder hebt gebruikt, wordt u niet meer gevraagd om de WEP-sleutel in te voeren, behalve
wanneer u de fabrieksinstellingen van uw apparaat terugzet.
• Bluetooth
Bluetooth werkt op het apparaat in drie verschillende modi:
• Uit: (standaard) Bluetooth is uitgeschakeld. U kunt geen gegevens verzenden en ontvangen
met Bluetooth.
• Vindbaar: Bluetooth is ingeschakeld en alle andere Bluetooth-apparaten kunnen uw apparaat
detecteren.
• Aan: Bluetooth is ingeschakeld en het apparaat kan de andere Bluetooth-apparaten
detecteren, maar niet omgekeerd.
Bluetootht inschakelen:
a. Tik in het menu Instellingen op Draadloos en netwerken.
b. Tik op de optie Bluetooth om Bluetooth in te schakelen. Als Bluetooth is ingeschakeld,

Bluetootht-apparaten koppelen:
1. Tik in het menu Instellingen op Draadloos en netwerken > Bluetooth-instellingen.
Tip: Tik op Vindbaar om het apparaat vindbaar te maken voor andere Bluetooth-apparaten die
binnen het bereik liggen.
2. Tik in het scherm Bluetooth-instellingen op Scannen naar toestellen. Uw apparaat gaat
scannen en toont een lijst met Bluetooth-apparaten binnen het bereik.
3. Tik op een apparaat in de lijst om het koppelen te starten.
4. Typ als daarom wordt gevraagd de PIN-code en tik op OK.
5. Typ op het andere apparaat de PIN-code van uw apparaat om de koppeling te accepteren.
6. Na voltooiing van het koppelen kunt u gegevens delen tussen de apparaten.

Het beschikbare geheugen beheren
U kunt het apparaatgeheugen controleren en beheren, inclusief het externe en interne geheugen.
