Please read the following information regarding your financial assistance for 2016-17.
• Do not make corrections to the FAFSA or Admissions Application after turning in this form.
• Your financial assistance eligibility will not be determined until all forms listed under “required documents by
year” in Web Advisor are received (or waived) and reviewed for accuracy.
• Per Federal regulations, you may not receive grants and loans at two separate institutions.
• Beginning with the fall 2016 semester, your BOG waiver eligibility is based on being in good academic
standing. If you fail to meet academic and progress standards for two consecutive semesters and enter into a
dismissal status, you will lose your BOG waiver eligibility.
Home College Location
• Your home location is determined from your Admissions Application.
• It is important to choose your home college location based on the college from which you plan to receive your
degree/certificate for your declared program of study.
• Financial assistance payments will be issued from your home college Student Financial Services (SFS) office
for eligible courses taken at Riverside City College, Moreno Valley College or Norco College.
• Please contact your home college SFS office prior to making changes to your Admissions application/home
location information.
Changes to your home location can lead to:
• Additional documentation required at your new college of choice
• A delay in eligibility determination
• A delay in disbursement
Declared Program of Study:
When completing your financial assistance file, it is important to understand the following information about your
declared program of study (major):
• Students who declare an “Undecided” program of study WILL NOT be eligible to receive most forms of
Federal, State and Institutional financial assistance.
• All students must have only one active and accurate program of study declared with Admissions and Records.
Please refer to your college catalog for information on the programs of study available at your home college.
• Your chosen program of study will influence your Satisfactory Academic Progress Standard calculation, which
can impact the amount of units for which you are eligible to receive financial assistance at your home college.
• If you are not sure what your program of study is, please meet with an academic counselor at your home
college.
