Cross under it and left is the building (nearby the American Embassy). It´s a 9 floors ‘building with windows ‘mirrors (it´s impossible to get lost) 2- Metro: line 8 (pink) Aeropuerto /Nuevos Ministerios: get out in the last stop and then the bus line 27 direction Embajadores in Paseo de la Castellana (the main street) and get out in Paseo de la Castellana/Ruben Darío. It stops under a bridge, then cross under it and left is the building (nearby the American Embassy). It´s a 9 floors ‘building with windows ´mirrors (it´s impossible to get lost). 3- Train: Príncipe Pío-Airport T4 (C1 Route) Itinerary: Príncipe Pío, Pirámides, Delicias, Méndez Álvaro, Atocha, Recoletos, Nuevos Ministerios, Chamartín, Fuente de la Mora and Airport T4. Stops: T4, floor -1. Terminals T123 can be reached by shuttle buses. Journey duration: Príncipe Pío-T4: 38 minutes. Atocha-T4: 25 minutes. Chamartín-T4: 11 minutes. Timetable: Every 30 minutes. One-way ticket: 2.15 euros. You must stop in Nuevos Ministerios, and then out to the main street (Paseo de la Castellana) and then bus line 27 direction Embajadores in Paseo de la Castellana (the main street) and get out in Paseo de la Castellana/Ruben Darío. GETTING HERE Madrid-Barajas Airport is situated twelve kilometers to the northeast of the city of Madrid, within its municipality, on the plain in the valley of the River Jarama: http://www.aeropuertomadrid-barajas.com/ http://www.madridcard.com/en/Transporte.aspx TAXI To take a taxi you must go to the appropriate taxi rank. Ignore any drivers who offer their services unsolicited inside the terminals. Make sure that the taxi driver has started up the taximeter at the start of the journey (minimum fare). Demand a bill in the case of any complaint. Tariffs: Flat fare to/from the airport 24 hours every day/year on trips with origin or destination between the Airport and the inside of Calle 30 (bypass road M-30) where DGSFP is located, including those that have been contracted by telematic means, a flat fare of 30 € (taxi Tariff 4) will apply. No supplements can be added to this flat fare. Luggage is carried free of charge, as long as it will fit in the boot or on the roof rack. Guide dogs and pets in approved cages are carried free of charge. CITY BUSES Line Exprés Aeropuerto: Atocha/Cibeles - O'Donnell - Airport. The line 203 or Exprés Aeropuerto (Airport express) is the express line connecting the Atocha train station and the airport of Madrid-Barajas. The bus runs 24 hours 365 days a year. Atocha bus stop (beginning/end of route) works only in daytime, 6:00h to 23:30h. Overnight, bus stop beginning/end of route is in central Madrid (Cibeles), and the bus is renamed as N27 Exprés Aeropuerto. Runs: every 15-20 minutes during daytime (6:00h to 23:30h) and every 35 minutes at overnight (23:30h to 6:00h). The journey Atocha - terminal T1 takes around 30 minuts in normal traffic conditions. Line 200: Avenida de América - Airport. Fast bus connecting Avenida de América (transport Hub) and the airport. TRAIN The Spanish railway company RENFE, connects Madrid with the Madrid Barajas airport through the local train network service Cercanías C1 Príncipe Pío-Airport T4 Itinerary: Príncipe Pío, Pirámides, Delicias, Méndez Álvaro, Atocha, Recoletos, Nuevos Ministerios, Chamartín, Fuente de la Mora and Aeropuerto T4, terminal T4. To move to the other terminals there is a shuttle bus service connecting the terminals. Estimated travel time from each train station to the Adolfo Suárez MadridBarajas airport: 1. Príncipe Pío - Aeropuerto T4: 38 minutes. 2. Estación de Chamartín - Aeropuerto T4: 11 minutes. 3. Estación de Nuevos Ministerios - Aeropuerto T4: 18 minutes. 4. Estación de Atocha - Aeropuerto T4: 25 minutes. 5. Puerta del Sol - Aeropuerto T4: 22 minutes. 6. Méndez Álvaro: 29 minutes. Ticket Single ticket tariff is 2,60 €, valid for one journey in the two hours after it is issued. For passengers with AVE tickets (high-speed train) connecting with a flight, this service is free. Return ticket tariff is 5,20€, and outbound journey must be made in the two hours after the ticket is issued, but return must be made any time until the next day. The transport passes are also valid. METRO There is a metro line from Madrid City to the airport terminal T4: metro line 8 Nuevos Ministerios - Aeropuerto T4. The line has two metro station at the airport. From 6.05 a.m. (morning) to 1.30 a.m. (night). The route to the airport since the beginning of the line 8 takes 13/15 minutes to the "Aeropuerto T1-T2-T3", situated in the centre of the terminal T2, and takes 5 minutes more until the second metro station at the airport "Aeropuerto T4", situated in terminal T4. Between metro stations "Aeropuerto T1 T2 T3" and "Aeropuerto T4" there is a metro station called "Barajas". This metro station is in the town, not in the airport. Metro stations of the 8 line: 1. Aeropuerto T4 Remember that it is necessary to pay extra to enter and exit the airport stations (T1, 2, 3 and T4). Special Service rates for the Airport T1-T2-T3 and Airport T-4 stations. Passengers travelling with Transport Season Tickets (Zone A) and Tourist Season Tickets (tourist travel cards) do not need to pay the special rate. Single Underground Ticket+Supplement Airport 4,50 - 5€ Permits entry and exit on journeys made between any Metro Zone A and ML1 station (Minimum price of €4.50 up to 5 stations; €0.10 per additional station, up to a maximum of €5 for journeys of more than 9 stations) and Airport T1-T2-T3 and Airport T4. Airport Ticket Supplement Airport 3,00 € Required for entry or exit at the Airport T1-T2-T3 and Airport T-4 station by passengers travelling with a valid ticket for the MetroMadrid (Single Metro Zona A, 10 Metrobus Journeys and Combined Single Ticket). It can be acquired at: Ticket booths at any station in the Metro network (Metro Zona A, MetroSur, MetroNorte, MetroEste and TFM). Automatic ticket machines located in the entrance halls of the Metro network stations, and at the toll entry and exit barrier at the Airport T1-T2-T3 and Airport T-4 stations.
