REQUEST FOR ARGUMENTS “FOR” AND “AGAINST” THE QUESTION OF
WHETHER TO PERMANENTLY ADJUST THE EXPENDITURE BASE BY $4,100,000
FOR THE CITY OF EL MIRAGE
Pursuant to Resolution R14-02-04 and Resolution R14-02-05 adopted by the Mayor and Council of the
City of El Mirage, Arizona (the “City”), on February 4, 2014 (the “Resolution”), a Primary Election was
ordered and called to be held on August 26, 2014 (the “Election”). Notice of the Election will be given
by mailing an informational pamphlet. Such information is to include arguments for and against the
question of permanently adjusting the expenditure base by $4,100,000 for the City of El Mirage to be
considered at the Election. (The text of the question to be considered at the Election is included in
Resolution R14-03-09 which is available at the Office of the Clerk of the City at 12145 NW Grand
Avenue, El Mirage, Arizona 85335). Any person interested in providing any such argument (300 words
or less) is hereby requested to provide the same to the Clerk of the City at the address indicated above
before 5:00 p.m. Arizona time on Friday, May 23, 2014, along with a fee of $75.00 to cover the cost of
including the argument with translation in the pamphlet. Arguments filed for inclusion in the publicity
pamphlet must include a notarized signature of each person sponsoring the argument. For organizations
submitting arguments, the notarized signatures of two executive officers are required; for political
committees submitting arguments, the notarized signature of the committee’s chairman or treasurer must

SOLICITUD PARA ARGUMENTOS “A FAVOR” Y “EN CONTRA” LA CUESTIÓN DE
SI AJUSTAR PERMANENTEMENTE LA BASE DE GASTOS POR
$4,100,000 PARA LA CIUDAD DE EL MIRAGE
De acuerdo con la Resolución R14-02-04 y la Resolución R14-02-05 adoptada por el Alcalde y el
Concejo de la Ciudad de El Mirage, Arizona, (la “Ciudad”) el 4 de febrero de 2014 (la “Resolución”) se
ordenó y se convocó una Elección Primaria que se celebrará el 26 de agosto de 2014 (la “Elección”). Se
ofrecerá Aviso de la Elección al enviar por correo un folleto informativo. Dicha información deberá
incluir argumentos a favor y en contra la cuestión de ajustar permanentemente la base de gastos por
$4,100,000 para la Ciudad de El Mirage a ser considerada en la Elección. (Se incluye en la Resolución
R14-03-09 el texto de la cuestión que se va a considerar en la Elección está disponible de la Oficina de la
Secretaria Municipal al 12145 NW Grand Avenue, El Mirage, Arizona 85335.) Por la presente se le
solicita a cualquier persona que se interesa en presentar cualquier dicho argumento (de 300 palabras o
menos) que someta dicho argumento a la Secretaria Municipal a la dirección que se indica arriba antes de
las 5:00 p.m. hora de Arizona, en viernes, 23 de mayo de 2014, junto con $75.00 para cubrir el costo de
incluir el argumento con su traducción en el folleto. Los argumentos entablados para inclusión en el
folleto de publicidad tiene que incluir la firma certificada por un notario de cada persona patrocinando el
argumento. Para las organizaciones sometiendo argumentos, se requieren las firmas certificadas por un
notario de dos oficiales ejecutivos; para los comités políticos sometiendo argumentos, se tiene que incluir
la firma certificada por un notario del presidente o tesorero del comité. Si tiene cualesquier preguntas
