SACSIS general purpose is to prevent the editorial bias that are suffering the negative results of main scientific research. Optimization of research infrastructure will translate in a better society in a faster way. Project description: Project name: BIASFIGHT Description: There is a recent trend in scientific publishing of giving equal importance to the publication of negative results. However there are certain sectors that are highly reluctant to publish negative results, even though those sectors are of high social impact. The project will analyze all the actual trends in the publishing sector towards negative results, how the different stakeholders behave and give an updated vision on how to improve the publication systems for future policies. The Society for the Improvement of Science (SACSIS) is the publisher of The All Results Journals since 2008, the first Total Open Access Journals focused on publishing negative results in all scientific areas. At present, more than 60% of the experiments fail to produce results or expected discoveries. This high percentage of “failed “ research generates high level knowledge. But generally, all these negative experiments have not been published anywhere as they have been considered useless for our research target. The main objective of The All Results Journals focuses on recovering and publishing negative results, valuable pieces of information in Science. These experiments are considered a vital key for the development of science and the catalyst for a real science-based empirical knowledge. The scientist in charge of BIASFIGHT project is Dr. David Alcantara (http://www.sacsis.es/2011/12/equipo-tecnico-dr-david-alcantara.html) which have broad experience on european projects.
