Chilean Superintendence of Banks and Financial Institutions (SBIF) and Association of Supervisors of Banks of the Americas (ASBA) You are cordially invited to submit your research papers (in PDF files) for presentation consideration to the second edition of the “Banking Development, Stability, and Sustainability Conference” organized by the Chilean Superintendence of Banks and Financial Institutions (SBIF) and the Association of Supervisors of Banks of the Americas (ASBA). This conference aims to bring together academics, practitioners, and policymakers sharing interests in banking stability and sustainability. It also provides a forum for presenting new research as well as discussing current and challenging issues on financial stability and related topics. TOPICS The Conference provides an instance to discuss a wide range of topics in the area of banking stability, and sustainability; covering from the impact of the implementation of the new Basel capital and liquidity frameworks, new banking resolution mechanisms, the use of stress testing in managing risks to the challenges technological development, cyber security, and financial inclusion, present for banking supervision. Conferences Chairs Dr. Nancy Silva, Research Director, SBIF. Lic. Rudy Araujo Medinacelli, Secretary General of the Association of Supervisors of Banks of the Americas (ASBA). PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE Authors are invited to submit their full papers in PDF files, no later than July 15, 2016, to the conference email address: research@sbif.cl. Submitted manuscripts will be peer-reviewed. No submission fee is required. General inquiries regarding the conference should be consulted in the conference website (http://conference.sbif.cl) or directed to research@sbif.cl. JOURNAL PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES The conference organizers, in collaboration with the editors of the Journal of Financial Stability (JFS), will invite the authors of selected conference papers to submit their manuscripts to the JFS. Although there is no special issue associated with this year's conference, the editorial team of the journal will ensure the selected papers undergo a fast-track review process while maintaining the otherwise regular editorial, refereeing, and revision standards of the journal. This special consideration is granted in light of the anticipated high caliber of the papers in the last conference's program. If any particular paper gets through the review process and gets accepted and the completion timing is such that it can be added in the ongoing special issue or a future special issue, editors will make every effort to consolidate.
