How the Charter for Multilevel Governance in Europe can contribute to the delivery of
the Strategy Europe 2020 at all levels of governance, and why the Strategy Europe
2020 needs to be given a “territorial dimension”.
Presentation of the Charter and Athens Declaration.
Luc Van Den Brande, initiator and rapporteur of the book “The White paper on the
Multilevel Governance”, vicepresident of the CoR.

The importance of Local Intermediate Governments associations within the EU.
Representatives of associations of Local Intermediate Governments of Europe will
analyse the role of those bodies in the Union today and will expose the challenges
they face in the future.

The vision of Local Intermediate Governments of the EU as regards the review
of the Strategy Europe 2020.
Representatives of European Local Intermediate Governments will discuss about the
state of play of the implementation of the Strategy Europe 2020, and will propose
recommendations as to how the European Union can help Local Intermediate
Governments to finance the necessary investment for growth and jobs.

Europe 2020.
Comment la Charte de Gouvernance à multiniveaux en Europe peut-elle contribuer à
la mise en oeuvre de la Stratégie Europe 2020 à tous les échelons de gouvernance et
pourquoi doit-on donner une “dimension territoriale” à la Stratégie Europe 2020.
Présentation de la Charte et de la Déclaration d’Athènes.
Luc Van Den Brande, initiateur et rapporteur du libre “Le libre blanc sur la
gouvernance européenne à multiniveaux”, vice-président du CdR.
15:30-16:15 L’importance des associations des Gouvernements Locaux Intermédiaires dans
l’Union Européenne.
Des représentants des associations de Gouvernements Locaux Intermédiaires de
l’Europe vont analyser le rôle de ces organismos dans l’Union aujourd’hui et vont
exposer les défis auxquels ils feront face dans l’avenir.

feront un état des lieux de l’application de la Stratégie Europe 2020 et soumetteront
des recommandations visant indiquer comment l’UE peut aider les entités de
Gouvernements Locaux Intermédiaires à financer les investissements nécessaires à
la croissance et à l’emploi.

futuro.

Intermedios a financiar las inversiones necesarias para el crecimiento y el
empleo.
