Dear Parents,
As we enter the second Sunday of Easter we reflect on
God the almighty Father who raised Jesus as the
firstborn from the dead, and made him our savior.
Let us call upon him, saying: All-holy Father, you
brought your beloved son Jesus from the darkness of
death into the splendor of your glory, bring us also
into your marvelous light. You have given us faith to
save us, may we live today by the faith of our baptism.
You command us to seek the things that area above,
where Christ is seated at your right hand, do not let us
be deceived by the allurements of sin. May our life,
hidden with Christ in you, our Father, shine before the
world, foreshadowing a new heaven and a new earth.
“Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall declare your
praise.”Amen
Estimados padres de familia,
Entramos en el segundo domingo de Pascua nos reflejan
en Dios Padre todo poderoso que resucitó a Jesús como
el primogénito entre los muertos, y lo hizo nuestro
salvador diciendo: Invoquemos a él, Todo-santo Padre,
que trajo a su amado hijo Jesús de la oscuridad de la
muerte en el esplendor de su gloria, nos traen también a
su luz admirable. Usted nos ha dado la fe para
salvarnos, que podamos vivir hoy por la fe de nuestro
bautismo. Tú nos mandas a buscar las cosas de la zona
arriba, donde está Cristo sentado a la mano derecha, no
nos deja engañar por las seducciones del pecado. Que
nuestra vida, escondida con Cristo en vosotros, nuestro
Padre, brillar ante el mundo, presagiando un nuevo
cielo y una nueva tierra. "Señor, abre mis labios, y mi
boca proclamará tu alabanza." Amén

FAMILY MASS
The Family Mass scheduled for Sunday, April 18th has
been re-scheduled for Sunday, April 26th at 11;00 AM.
After Mass, there will be refreshments available as
well as a St. Peter School Information Fair. New
families will be able to obtain information about the
registration process and scholarships for next year.
Please invite your friends, neighbors and families to
join us and become part of the St. Peter school
community. Students should come in their school
uniform and they will receive a free dress pass for
Monday, April 27th.
MISA FAMILIAR
La Misa Familiar se realizará el domingo 18 de abril se
ha cambiado para el domingo 26 de abril a las 11:00 de
la mañana. Después de la misa, habrá refrescos
disponibles, y una Feria de Información de la Escuela
San Pedro. Nuevas familias podrán obtener información
sobre el proceso de inscripción y becas para el próximo
año. Por favor, invite a sus amigos, vecinos y familiares
a unirse con nosotros y formar parte de la comunidad de
la Escuela San Pedro. Los estudiantes deben venir con su
uniforme escolar y recibirán un pase libre de vestir para
el lunes 27 de abril.
ADMINSTRATIVE PROFESSIONALS DAY
Next Wednesday, April 22nd is Administrative
Professionals Day. We would like to thank our
secretary Mrs. Tania Cea, Mrs. Myrna Soberanis our
Bookkeeper, and Ms. Ann Ticas our Accountant for

El próximo miércoles 22 de abril es el Día de los
Profesionales Administrativos. Nos gustaría dar las
gracias a nuestra secretaria Sra. Tania Cea, Sra. Myrna
Soberanis nuestro Contable, y la Srta. Ann Ticas nuestra

TARDIES
Thank you to all the parents who continue to make the
effort during the third quarter to have their child here
at school on time everyday. There were 699 tardies in
the third quarter. This is an improvement over the 812
tardies during the second quarter. If your child still
continues to be tardy or absent and has surpassed the
state of California requirements, you will be receiving
a letter in the mail to notify you of this violation.
School begins at 8:00 AM. Please plan your time
accordingly.
If your child has no tardies during the month of April,
he/she can have a free dress on May 5th.
YEARBOOK ORDERS
It is time to order your yearbook! This year our
yearbook is full of pictures of the many events and
celebrations we have during the year. Having a
yearbook is a wonderful way to remember your
teachers, classmates, and special friends. The cost is
$25. Don’t delay and order today!
CANDY SALE
The next prize for the candy sale winners will be the
trip to the San Francisco Zoo on April 24th.
REGISTRATION
A reminder that all 8th grade accounts must be paid in
full by May 1st. The full payment for your registration
for the next school year is due on May 15th.
NEW APPLICATIONS FOR 2015-2016
The application for the 2015-2016 school year is
available for new students. Please encourage friends,
family, and co-workers to stop by the school for a tour
and to pick up an application. Testing for grades 1-7
will take place the first Thursday of every month.
However in the month of April, due to Easter
Vacation, testing will be held on April 16th. Grades 5-7
will begin with a morning shadow then testing at 1:15
PM. Please call the school office for more information.

Gracias a todos los padres que han hecho un esfuerzo en

de abril.
REGISTRO
Un recordatorio de que todas las cuentas de grado 8º
deben ser pagados en su totalidad por el 1 de mayo. El
pago total de su inscripción para el próximo año escolar
se debe el 15 de mayo.
NUEVAS APLICACIONES PARA 2015-2016
La solicitud para el año escolar 2015-2016 está
disponible para los nuevos estudiantes. Por favor anime a
sus amigos, familiares y compañeros de trabajo de pasar
por la escuela para una gira y para recoger una solicitud.
Las pruebas para los grados 1-7 se llevará a cabo el
primer jueves de cada mes. Sin embargo, en el mes de
abril, debido a las vacaciones de Pascua, la prueba se
llevará a cabo el 16 de abril. Grados 5-7 comenzarán con
una sombra por la mañana luego las pruebas a las

IN THE CLASSROOM:
In 3rd – We are back from Easter vacation and looking
forward to the 3rd Quarter report card grades. We
begin the 4th Quarter with geometry and
multiplication. In Science we are completing out lifesize figures showing the systems of our body.
In 5th - We hope everyone had a restful vacation!
Since we've returned to school, we've been reviewing
decimal place value in Math. In Reading, we'll be
finishing up the novel The Sign of the Beaver.

EN EL AULA:
En 3ª – Ya hemos vuelto de las vacaciones de Pascua y
mirando adelante a las calificaciones en los reportes del
tercer trimestre. Comenzamos el 4° trimestre con la
geometría y la multiplicación. En ciencias estamos
completando cabo figuras de tamaño natural que
muestran los sistemas de nuestro cuerpo.
En 5º - Esperamos que todos hayan descansado durante
sus vacaciones! Como nos hemos vuelto a la escuela,
hemos estado revisando valor decimal en Matemáticas.
En lectura, vamos a estar terminando la novela The Sign
of the Beaver.
