Sandra Méndez-Fajardo
Position: Assistant Professor (II).
Degrees: degree in Civil Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (PUJ) in
Bogotá, Colombia (2000). MSc in Civil Engineering focused on environmental issues, from
the Universidad de los Andes, Bogota (2007). Doctor in Engineering from the PUJ
(forthcoming in 2016).
Grupo de investigación: Ciencia e Ingeniería del Agua y el Ambiente
Áreas de interés: Integrated Solid Waste Management (municipal, household, Construction
and Demolition, Hazardous, WEEE). Systemic decision making. Participatory design and
territory (community) appropriation for environmental conservation. Participatory design of
public policies with systemic approach.
