Announcing Summer Programs in Madison PHONICS - FLUENCY - COMPREHENSION - SPEED READING - STUDY SKILLS Develop a Lifelong Love of Reading Program 1: Program 3: Program 5: For Entering 1st Graders For Entering 3rd Graders For Entering 6th-8th Graders Program 2: Program 4: Program 6: For Entering 2nd Graders For Entering 4th and 5th Graders For Entering 9th-11th Graders Students in our programs for entering first and second graders make significant gains in phonics, sight vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. As a result, your son or daughter will become a fluent independent reader, and become more successful in school. Your child will build confidence and develop a lifelong love of reading. Students in our programs for entering third, fourth, and fifth graders become strong, enthusiastic readers. They learn to read more fluently and rapidly, and make significant gains in comprehension. They learn the long-word decoding skills they need to read the many new words they encounter each day. As a result, students complete reading assignments more quickly and easily. In our middle school and high school programs, students make substantial gains in comprehension while doubling their reading speed. They learn the best way to read textbooks, take notes, and study for tests. Your child will complete homework assignments quickly and easily, get better grades, and become a more motivated student. Our students enjoy reading more and develop the lifelong habit of reading for pleasure. Schedule - All programs meet once each week. Teachers Programs are offered by University of Wisconsin— Parkside, Continuing Education and Community Engagement, a non-profit organization.
