Me and My Feelings HOPE © 2009 Cenpatico. All rights reserved. Everybody needs hope. Hope is believing that things will work out. Hope is believing that things will get better. Everybody needs hope. HOPE Feelings are a part of being a person. Everybody has feelings...There aren’t right or wrong feelings. The important thing is what you do with your feelings. Kids have many different feelings everyday. Happiness Happiness is like a bright sunny day. Some kids smile when they are happy. Some kids giggle when they are happy. Some kids even cry when they are happy. Sadness Sadness is like a big, dark, rain cloud. Some kids cry when they are sad. Some kids hide like a turtle in their shell when they are sad. Some kids look mad when inside they are really, really sad. Anger Anger is like a volcano ready to erupt. Some kids scream when they are mad. Some kids slam a door or toss things around when they are mad. Some kids cry when they are mad. Scared Scared is like a little mouse in a house full of big cats with no where to go. Some kids hide when they are scared. Some kids are scared of people, places, and things. Some kids try to act big and strong when inside they are very scared. Worried Worry is like a person with too many thoughts in their head. Some kids think they same thought over and over when they are worried. Some kids feel their worry in their tummy. Some kids feel worry in other parts of their bodies, even in their head. Some kids try to make their worry go away by doing things over and over again like washing their hands or checking to make sure doors are locked. SCHOOL MONSTERS FRIENDS Silly Silly is like a big bouncy ball that bounces all over the place. Some kids laugh at everything when they are being silly. Some kids are like a bouncy ball bumping into everybody when they are being silly. Frustrated Frustrated is like trying to open a locked door without a key. You really want to get that door open but you just can’t seem to figure out how to do it! Some kids give up when they are frustrated. Some kids get mad when they are frustrated. Some kids act like they don’t even care when they are frustrated. As you can see, feelings happen every day to every kid. The most important thing to know is what to do with your feelings. Some kids talk to their family and friends about their feelings. Some kids talk to people at their school or in an office whose job is to listen to kids talk about their feelings. Those people are called counselors. I hope as you read this book, you realize you are not alone. There are kids everywhere who have feelings just like you. Remember.... Everybody needs hope. My Thoughts My Questions Mis sentimientos y yo HOPE © 2009 Cenpatico. All rights reserved.
