Check-out information
The 2015-2016 License Agreement ends
Friday, June 10 at 2 PM. All residents
MUST BE checked out by this time unless a
License Extension has been approved by
your RLC. Residents may apply for a
License Extension , but it is NOT
guaranteed. Residents who are granted extensions must check-out by
Sunday, June 12 at noon, or earlier.
Residents will still need to schedule a
check-out appointment with their RA.
Who qualifies for an extension?
*Graduating seniors participating in
graduation ceremonies (no extra charge)
*Final exam taking place after Friday, June
10 at 2 PM. (no extra charge)
*Those with SPECIAL TRAVEL arrangements past Friday, June 10 at 2 PM ($50
per night charged to account). Special travel
arrangements constitute late/only flights
available on specific days/times. Lack of
ADVANCE PLANNING for travel arrangements DOES NOT qualify.
ALL RESIDENTS NEEDING TO
STAY PAST 2 pm ON JUNE 10 FOR
THE REASONS LISTED ABOVE
MUST SUBMIT A LICENSE EXTENSION FORM AND ANY ADDITIONAL FORMS (AS NOTED ON THE
FORM) TO THE LASSEN HOUSING
OFFICE OR YOUR RLC BY 2 PM ON
JUNE 6. FORMS CAN BE ATTAINED
BY SPEAKING TO YOUR RLC.
RLCs will send approval notification
via email by 12PM on June 7.
How to Check-Out
Step 1– Meet with your apartment/suitemates to fill
out the Cleaning Assignments Checklist. The
completed form should be taped on the front of the
refrigerator. This form is available from your RA, RLC
or the Lassen Housing Office
Step 2– Sign up for a check-out
appointment on your RA’s door.
Sign up for a group checkout
when possible. Group check outs
can occur when all roommates
decide to move out at the same
time. It is the most effective and is the desired process. If your RA does not have an available time that
fits your schedule, ask another RA in your area for
permission to check out with them instead and sign up
on their appointment sheet. You can also check out
daily from 8-10pm at your Area Front Desk.
Step 3-Clean, clean, clean! Make sure to complete
your cleaning assignments. Your entire apartment
MUST be clean by the time the first person
checks out AND MUST remain clean as each
person checks out. All trash/recyclables must be
removed and the furniture should be properly arranged.
Step 4– Meet the RA in your apartment at your
check-out time. DO NOT BE LATE! If you miss your
scheduled appointment, or are not ready at your time,
you will be charged a minimum of $50 for an
improper checkout and may need to schedule another check-out time. ALL BELONGINGS MUST BE
REMOVED AND THE APARTMENT CLEANED BEFORE THE RA CAN COMPLETE THE CHECK-OUT.
Step 5– Turn in all keys to the RA and log into your
housing portal account to accept the damage assessments. Please note that the damage charges
completed by the RA are only estimates and
the final charges will be assessed by your RLC.
Step 6– Leave campus and enjoy your summer!!
