GREGORIO VARDÁNEGA Born in Passagno, Treviso, Italy 1923. Died in Paris, France in 2007. Gregorio Vardánega (1923, Passagno, Italia – 2007, París Francia). In 1926, he moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina. He joined the Concrete Art Group in 1946. He lived in Europe from 1948 to 1950 where he met Max Bill, Brancusi, Sonia Delaunay, Denise René, Antoine Pevsner, Michel Seuphor and Vantongerloo. Founding member of the New Art Association in 1955 and Non Figurative Argentine Artists in 1956. He arrived to Paris with his wife Martha Boto in 1959, where he lived and worked up to his death in 2007.
