Take Math for example. Each student will be evaluated in four areas, or criteria, of math, with a minimum of 0 and a maximum of 8 for each criterion. So let’s say a student receives a “5” in criterion A (Knowing and Understanding), a “6” in criterion B (Investigating Patterns), a “4” in criterion C (Communicating), and an “8” in applying math in real-life contexts. That adds up to a total of 23. Looking at the previous chart, that equates to a “5”. The “5” has a narrative description attached to it which should accurately describe how that student in mathematics. Other subjects operate the same way.
