SUPPORT AGREEMENT FOR ING. FRANCISCO A. MELO WALTHER, FULL TIME
INSTRUCTOR WHO STUDIES A MASTER’S DEGREE IN ADVERTISING ABROAD
Agreement held by the SCHOLARSHIP HOLDER: Franciso Alfonso Melo Walther and the
SCHOLARSHIP GRANTER: INSTITUTO EDUCATIVO DEL NOROESTE, A.C, who will be
named CETYS University, on Thursday July 27, 2005.
According to procedures and commitments established for full time faculty at CETYS University,
who make their graduate studies supported by the Institution, we determine the bases that will
regulate this agreement for the SCHOLARSHIP HOLDER’s Master’s Degree by the following
clauses:
1. The SCHOLARSHIP HOLDER will make his Master in Arts in The United States in
Texas University’s program, in Austin, from the period of August 2005 to August 2007. In
case more time is needed, another agreement will have to be made to complement the
total time.
2. CETYS University will grant a scholarship of $800 dollars a month for the
SCHOLARSHIP HOLDER’s support for this period.
3. CETYS University will cover the difference of the annual tuition, which is not covered by
the Fulbright-García Robles, for up to $3,700 dollars.
4. CETYS University will pay one round flight per year between the cities of Austin and
San Diego and will provide ground transportation between San Diego and Mexicali for
this period.
5. CETYS University will keep valid the SCHOLARSHIP HOLDER’s medical insurance,
throughout the validity of this agreement, without a cost for the SCHOLARSHIP
HOLDER.
6. The SCHOLARSHIP HOLDER will be granted, for a single time, support for the thesis
dissertation, if required. The amount of this aid will be for up to $500 dollars by request
and solicitation of the SCHOLARSHIP HOLDER.
7. The SCHOLARSHIP HOLDER commits himself to entirely deliver the necessary tax
recordings for the expenditure made by the economic aid provided by this agreement, by
shipping to the SCHOLARSHIP GRANTER the documentation every two months.
8. The SCHOLARSHIP HOLDER commits himself to continue in CETYS University at the
end of his studies as a full time instructor or in the post assigned based on the
institution’s needs, for a period of time as the duration of the studies, counting the date
since beginning of the first course until the accreditation of the last one; that is, the
duration of the research and practicum process is not included in this period
9. If for any circumstances the SCHOLARSHIP HOLDER drops out of the program without
concluding it, the previous point will be valid in proportion, according to the time passed.
10. At the end of each semester period, the SCHOLARSHIP HOLDER must send a general
report of his performance in writing, to the General Department, with a copy to the
Academic Department and the Human Resources Department; it must include all
academic aspects, attaching report cards and the activities developed, as well as other
comments considered pertinent.
11. In case the SCHOLARSHIP HOLDER decides not to CONTINUE in CETYS University
as a full time instructor or in the post assigned based on the Institution’s needs, for a
period of time as the duration of the studies, he must return CETYS University the
amount representing the sum of all the economic support equivalent to Mexican pesos
that was provided to him, updated till the date of the refund, by inflation factors published
by the Bank of Mexico. The refund must be made by the SCHOLARSHIP HOLDER to
CETYS University in fixed monthly installments in a period no longer than one year,
counting from the time of his decision for not integrating himself as employee at CETYS
University.
Any matter not described in the previous clause, must be totally agreed between CETYS
University and the SCHOLARSHIP HOLDER.

submits me a Macintosh Book G4 laptop, id number 1,251, with 1.33 MHz, 212 RAM,
which I commit to return to the institution upon my return in the same conditions it was
submitted to me.
