Círculo Fortuny was set up as a non-profit entity on 12 May 2011 in order to bring Spain’s luxury
creative and cultural brands together under a single platform with one voice so as to promote and
support its members and, more broadly, to help fortify Spain’s brand equity. It is the only
association accepted abroad as the legitimate voice and representative of Spain’s high end goods
and services companies and industries.
The value of goods and services produced by the European luxury sector grew by nearly 28%
between 2010 and 2013, paving the way for Europe´s economy recovery. In 2013, the value of
sales reaches 547 billion of euros and the estimated value of exports was 308 billion of euros (fob,
current prices) representing a 17% of the EU merchandise exports (same share since 2010). In
2013, the total employment in these industries was equal to around 1,7 million, broken down into
1,1 million direct jobs and around 600,000 indirect jobs.
The founding member brands of Círculo Fortuny are Loewe, Lladró, Carrera y Carrera, Natura
Bissé, Sotogrande, Numanthia, Marqués de Griñón y LA Organic.

AYA Aguirre y Aranzabal: the only Spanish gunmaking company, in which the whole manufacturing process of the guns is found
(barrels, actions, stocks). Spanish AYA fineguns, made since 1.915 and well known worldwide as AYA. Handmade guns exclusively
made for each customer according to their wants.
Dehesa de Los Llanos: located in the province of Albacete, is an iconic location for both its history and tradition. The original
location of the Feria de Albacete, it was a Franciscan convent in the Middle Ages and a residence of the Marquis of Salamanca,
after the ecclesiastical confiscations conducted by Mendizabal. In the late nineteenth century it became the property of the Marques
de Larios. The current company was founded in 1974 and began the new century began by transforming its agricultural products
into agricultural-industrial ones, with the philosophy of creating artisanal delicacies of the highest quality. Its Manchego cheese was
named the best in the world at the World Cheese Awards in 2012, and its Mazacruz wines have recently been recognized in several
national and international competitions.
La Zagaleta: founded in 1991 in Benahavís, La Zagaleta has a total area of 900 hectares with more than 200 completed luxury
villas. The main objective of La Zagaleta is to become one of the safest, prestigious and most secluded private urbanizations in
Europe for its combination of contemporary design and respectful integration with the environment. El grupo promueve productos
inmobiliarios de alto standing en Madrid y Andalucía, además de las lujosas instalaciones que se albergan dentro de la
Urbanización La Zagaleta, como dos campos de golf profesionales y un club hípico. Está integrada en un holding cuya matriz es La
Zagaleta Limited, con sede en Londres.
Navascués: is a sewing workshop. Since 1985 it is considered a benchmark in the Spanish haute couture and creativity world.
