Dear Parents,
We would like to share a unique and exciting opportunity for your child. At our core, Jack Swigert Aerospace Academy is
committed to our students and providing an exceptional experience that supports and enhances their personal growth.
To help achieve this goal, we have the opportunity to participate in an exciting and innovative experience that will
enhance student’s awareness of self and ownership of their learning.
STEP (Student/Teacher Emergenetics Program) is a distinctive and results- oriented learning system built on Emergenetics
brain research and theory that has been tailored specifically for students. The foundation of this model is the
Emergenetics Youth Report, which identifies a student’s thinking and behavioral preferences in seven research-based
attributes. While we all possess some degree of each attribute, the report allows students to understand what gives them
energy, how they prefer to think, communicate and learn, and builds an appreciation for diverse approaches. The result is
increased motivation, engagement, self-awareness and an ability to collaborate successfully in cognitively diverse teams.
STEP also provides teachers and advisors with the tools, training and knowledge to enhance student’s acceptance and
tolerance of others for a comprehensive STEP solution.
Your child will receive an Individualized Youth Report that gives a detailed picture of how each Thinking and Behavioral
Attribute relates to the way she/he learns and processes information. Your child’s teacher will have also received an
Individualized Profile so she/he may understand how Thinking and Behavior Preferences influence her/his work as a
teacher regarding planning and personalizing instruction/collaboration for students.
Please be aware that we are planning on administering the STEP questionnaire to the students in January. If you have any

STEP (Programa Emergenticos de estudiante/profesor) sistema de aprendizaje emergenticas distintivo y resultados
orientada a la investigación del cerebro y teoría que se ha adaptado específicamente para los estudiantes. La base de

Su hijo/a recibirá un informe individualizado de juventud que da una imagen detallada de cómo cada pensamiento y
comportamiento del atributo se refiere a la manera de aprender y procesa la información. Los maestros también
recibirán un perfil individualizado para que ellos puedan entender cómo el pensamiento y las preferencias de
comportamiento influyen en su trabajo como profesores con respecto a la planificación y personalización de instrucción y
colaboración para estudiantes.
