It seems that everyday I come to work I
have a reason to smile. Perhaps it is
because of the wonderful people that
make up our teaching and support staff,
or maybe it is because we start everyday
off with prayer, thanking God for each
other, our teachers, and our families. It
could be that I am emboldened in my
work because the first things students
yell when we start our day is, “God is good, all the
time! All the time, God is good!” All of these things
make me smile.
But really, it is seeing our school community happy
to be with each other in Christian fraternity that makes me
smile. It is seeing students express their love for one another by helping each other in class and by being kind to
one another when the other is feeling sad. It makes me
smile when the students scream, “Amen!” after prayer, in
joyful glee, as they laugh and giggle, safe and secure within the walls of a faith-based school. This is what makes all
of us smile when we come to work at Resurrection Catholic School. Come by the School Office and see what everyone is smiling about, and make an Admissions Appointment today!

Pareciera que todos los días que vengo a
trabajar tengo una razón para sonreír. Tal
vez sea debido a las maravillosas personas que componen a nuestro personal
como los maestros y el personal de apoyo, o tal vez es porque empezamos cada
día con oración, dando gracias a Dios
por cada uno de nosotros, nuestros maestros y nuestras familias. Podría ser que
estoy envalentonado en mi trabajo debido a que los estudiantes gritan al comienzo de nuestro día,
"Dios es bueno, todo el tiempo! Todo el tiempo, Dios es
bueno!" Todas estas cosas me hacen sonreír.
Pero en realidad, es ver a nuestra comunidad escolar feliz
de estar con los demás en la fraternidad cristiana que me
hace sonreír. Ver a los estudiantes expresando su amor el
uno al otro apoyando a los demás en la clase y por ser
amables unos con otros, como cuando un compañero se
siente triste. Me hace sonreír cuando los estudiantes gritan,
"¡Amén!" Después de la oración, en gozosa alegría, como
ríen y se carcajean, a salvos y seguros dentro de las paredes de una escuela basada en la fe. Esto es lo que hace que
todos nos sonriamos cuando venimos a trabajar en la Escuela Católica de Resurrección. Venga por la Oficina de la
Escuela y vean de lo que todo el mundo está sonriendo, y
haga una cita de Admisiones!

RESURRECTION VOLUNTEERS
The Archdiocese of Galveston – Houston requires that ALL church & school
volunteers that come in contact with minors and/or vulnerable adults attend a
VIRTUS session called “PGC”. The objective of the VIRTUS program is to
prevent child sexual abuse and create a safe environment. This is a 3 hour session and is valid for 5 years.
