INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the TruLink® Wireless USB Host Adapter. The TruLink Wireless USB Host
Adapter works with a compatible Wireless VGA or Audio Adapter or a Wireless USB Hub to enable your
computer to communicate with connected devices. Use additional Wireless USB Host Adapters to
connect as many as six computers to a single device. This wireless solution enables in-room wireless
connectivity at distances up to 10 meters between the computer and connected devices. The highly
secure, wireless connection is ideal for classroom or conference room presentations, or in households
with multiple computers. We recommend that you read this manual thoroughly and retain for
future reference.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
 If installing on Windows XP, Service Pack 3 (SP3) is required. Verify that this has been
installed before installing the Wireless USB software.
 If installing the software, make sure that the Wireless USB Host Adapter and Wireless USB
devices are not connected to the computer, and the Wireless USB devices are not
powered.
Step 1-Installing the software
Insert the CD provided and the welcome screen will appear. Click Software Installation. Please follow the
instructions in the InstallShield Wizard to proceed through the software installation.

Step 2-Driver Installation for the Wireless USB Host Adapter (for first time installation)
1. Open the Wireless USB Manager by double-clicking the icon on the icon tray at the bottom of your
desktop.

2. Make sure the antenna is connected to the Wireless USB Host Adapter.
3. Plug the Wireless USB Host Adapter into any available USB port on your computer. You also have the
option to connect the Wireless USB Host Adapter to the USB Cradle provided in the package if you
need to make the Adapter more mobile.

Windows will automatically install the appropriate Wireless USB Host Adapter drivers and you will get a
Successful Install message pop-up such as the following or one similar depending on your operating
system to let you know it was successful.

In order to use Certified Wireless USB Devices with your Wireless USB Host Adapter, you need to
associate them with your Wireless USB Host Adapter. Two methods can be used: PIN Association and
Cable Association.
PIN Association
If your Wireless USB device supports PIN association
(please refer to your Certified Wireless USB Device
manufacturer’s user guide), click the Discovery Mode
button and the Wireless Host Adapter will begin the
discovery it. The discovery can take up to 30 seconds.
After your Certified Wireless USB Device is found you
will be asked to enter its PIN number. Enter the PIN and
then press OK. Your Certified Wireless USB Device is
now associated and ready to be used with your Wireless
USB Host Adapter.

Cable Association
If your Certified Wireless USB Device does not support PIN association you will have to perform a cable
association. Please refer to your Certified Wireless USB Device manufacturer’s user guide for
instructions on how to do a cable association for your Certified Wireless USB Device.
After your Certified Wireless USB Device is successfully
installed, your device icon will appear on the Display: All
Devices page in the Wireless USB Manager.
On the Devices screen of the Wireless USB Manager,
the icon for your Certified Wireless USB Device will be
in color (example: Wireless VGA Adapter), indicating
your Certified Wireless USB Device is active and ready
to use.

When your TruLink USB Host Adapter is not in use, you may disconnect it from your PC if you wish, and
connect it back whenever you are ready to use again. Simply plugging the Wireless USB Host Adapter
back in your PC will begin automatic reconnection as long as your Certified Wireless USB Device is still
powered on.

WIRELESS USB MANAGER
The Wireless USB Manager is simple and easy to use interface to manage your Wireless USB devices
and control your Wireless USB Host Adapter settings. The Wireless USB Manager can be accessed via
Wireless USB Manager Icon in the Windows tray (Figure: Wireless USB Manager Icon).

To launch the Wireless USB Manager, double click on
the Wireless USB Manager icon. In the main pane, you
can find an icon representing your Certified Wireless
USB Device. If your Certified Wireless USB Device is
not connected, the icon will be grayed out (Figure:
Wireless VGA Adapter Not Connected). If your Certified
Wireless USB Device is connected and ready to work,
the icon will change and show signal strength (Figure:
Wireless VGA Adapter Connected).

The VIEW menu will give the option of what type of devices you wish to display (All Devices, Connected
Devices and Not Connected Devices).
The OPTIONS menu will give the option to launch Host Settings window and turn the Wireless USB Host
Adapter radio on or off.
The HELP menu offers quick help on how to connect devices to your Wireless USB Host Adapter.

To manage the Wireless USB Host Adapter settings, either select “Host Settings” in the “Option” menu of
the Wireless USB Manager application or right click on the Wireless USB Manager icon in the Windows
tray.
GENERAL TAB (Figure: Host Settings – General)
1. Enable this Wireless USB radio: turn on or off the Wireless
USB radio.
2. Host name: Change the name of your Wireless USB Host
Adapter.
3. Cable association connection rules: Always, Never or Ask
me each time. By default Wireless USB will ask you each
time you cable associate.

1. Channel selection: this function allows you to set manually a
radio channel for the wireless communication (combination
of Band Group and Channel). For optimal performance, the
automatic setting is recommended.

ASSOCIATION WITH OTHER DEVICES
ASSOCIATION CONCEPT
In order to establish a secure wireless connection, both the Wireless USB Host Adapter and your Certified
Wireless USB Device must exchange information about each other. This is done via cable or PIN
association.
ASSOCIATION PROCESS
If you purchase additional Certified Wireless USB devices, you will have to associate them with your
Wireless USB Host Adapter. Refer to your Certified Wireless USB Device documentation for more
information on its settings for association or try contacting the product’s manufacturer for assistance if
needed.

CABLE ASSOCIATION PROCEDURE

1. Make sure that the Wireless USB Manager is running. Check your Windows tray for the Wireless USB
Manager icon (Figure: Wireless USB Manager).
2. Make sure the WIRELESS/WIRED switch is in the WIRELESS position
3. Plug in the power supply for your Wireless USB device adapter (TruLink Wireless VGA Device
Adapter).
4. Connect the USB cable between an available USB port on your computer and your Wireless USB
device adapter.
5. Complete cable association by pressing the “Accept Association” button when prompted. (Figure:

6. Remove the USB cable from your Wireless USB device adapter and computer.

WICHTIGER HINWEIS:
 Bei Installation auf Windows XP ist Service Pack 3 (SP3) erforderlich. Überprüfen Sie, ob
es installiert ist, bevor Sie die Wireless USB-Software installieren.
 Stellen Sie beim Installieren der Software sicher, dass der Wireless USB-Hostadapter und
die Wireless USB-Geräte nicht an den Computer angeschlossen sind und dass die
Wireless USB-Geräte nicht eingeschaltet sind.
Schritt 1 - Installieren der Software
Legen Sie die mitgelieferte CD ein. Der Begrüßungsbildschirm wird angezeigt. Klicken Sie auf
„Softwareinstallation“. Bitte befolgen Sie während der Softwareinstallation die Anweisungen des
InstallShield-Assistenten.

1. Öffnen Sie den Wireless USB Manager, indem Sie auf des Symbol in der Symbolleiste unten auf dem

Sie haben auch die Möglichkeit, den Wireless USB-Hostadapter an das mitgelieferte USB-Cradle
anzuschließen, wenn der Adapter mobiler sein soll.

Windows installiert automatisch die entsprechenden Wireless USB-Hostadaptertreiber und eine Meldung
über die erfolgreiche Installation wie die folgende oder eine ähnliche Meldung wird ja nach Ihrem
Betriebssystem angezeigt.

Um Certified Wireless USB-Geräte mit dem Wireless USB-Hostadapter zu verwenden, müssen Sie sie
dem Wireless USB-Hostadapter zuordnen. Dafür können zwei Methoden verwendet werden: PINZuordnung und Kabelzuordnung.
PIN-Zuordnung
Wenn Ihr Wireless USB-Gerät PIN-Zuordnung
unterstützt (sehen Sie im Benutzerhandbuch des
Certified Wireless USB-Geräts nach), klicken Sie auf
die Schaltfläche „Erkennungsmodus“ und der Wireless
Hostadapter beginnt mit dem Erkennungsvorgang. Die
Erkennung kann bis zu 30 Sekunden dauern.
Nachdem Ihr Certified Wireless USB-Gerät gefunden
wurden, werden Sie gebeten, seine PIN-Nummer
einzugeben. Geben Sie die PIN ein und drücken Sie
„OK“. Ihr Certified Wireless USB-Gerät ist jetzt dem
Wireless
USB-Hostadapter
zugeordnet
und
betriebsbereit.

Kabelzuordnung
Wenn Ihr Certified Wireless USB-Gerät keine PIN-Zuordnung unterstützt, müssen Sie eine
Kabelzuordnung durchführen. Im Benutzerhandbuch Ihres Certified Wireless USB-Geräts finden Sie eine
Anleitung, wie Sie eine Kabelzuordnung für Ihr Certified Wireless USB-Gerät durchführen.
Nach erfolgreicher Installation Ihres Certified Wireless
USB-Geräts wird das Gerätesymbol auf dem Display
angezeigt: Seite „Alle Geräte“ im Wireless USB
Manager.
Auf dem Gerätebildschirm des Wireless USB Manager
ist das Symbol für Ihr Certified Wireless USB-Gerät
farbig (Beispiel: Wireless VGA-Adapter). Dies gibt an,
dass Ihr Certified Wireless USB-Gerät aktiv und
betriebsbereit ist.

Wenn der TruLink USB Host Adapter nicht verwendet wird, können Sie ihn, falls gewünscht, vom PC
trennen und ihn wieder anschließen, wenn Sie ihn wieder verwenden möchten. Schließen Sie einfach den
Wireless USB-Hostadapter an den PC an und er wird automatisch verbunden, solange Ihr Certified
Wireless USB-Gerät eingeschaltet ist.

Der Wireless USB Manager ist eine einfache und benutzerfreundliche Oberfläche für die Verwaltung Ihrer
Wireless USB-Geräte und die Kontrolle der Wireless USB-Hostadapter-Einstellungen. Der Wireless USB

Im Menü ANSICHT haben Sie die Möglichkeit, anzuzeigen, welche Art von Gerät Sie anzeigen möchten
(Alle Geräte, Verbundene Geräte und Nicht verbundene Geräte).
Im Menü OPTIONEN haben Sie die Möglichkeit, das Fenster „Hosteinstellungen“ zu öffnen und den
Funkbetrieb des Wireless USB-Hostadapters ein- oder auszuschalten.
Das Menü HILFE bietet schnelle Hilfe zum Verbinden von Geräten mit dem Wireless USB-Hostadapter.

Um eine sichere Drahtlosverbindung aufzubauen, müssen sowohl Ihr Wireless USB-Hostadapter als auch
das Certified Wireless USB-Gerät Informationen miteinander austauschen. Dazu ist eine Kabel- oder PINZuordnung erforderlich.

Kabelzuordnungsschritte: Die abgebildeten Beispiele/Abbildungen beziehen sich auf die Zuordnung des

1. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Wireless USB Manager läuft. Suchen Sie das Wireless USB ManagerSymbol in der Windows-Symbolleiste (Abbildung: Wireless USB Manager).
2. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Schalter WIRELESS/WIRED sich in der Position WIRELESS befindet.
3. Schließen Sie das Netzteil des Wireless USB-Geräteadapters (TruLink Wireless VGA-Geräteadapter)
an.
4. Schließen Sie das USB-Kabel an einen freien USB-Anschluss am Computer und am Wireless USBGeräteadapter an.
5. Schließen Sie die Kabelzuordnung ab, indem Sie die Schaltfläche „Zuordnung akzeptieren“ drücken,
wenn Sie aufgefordert werden (Abbildung: Kabelzuordnung).
6. Entfernen Sie das USB-Kabel vom Wireless USB-Geräteadapter und vom Computer.

INTRODUCTION
Merci pour votre achat de l'adaptateur hôte USB sans fil TruLink®. L''adaptateur hôte USB sans fil
TruLink fonctionne en conjonction avec un adaptateur d'appareil VGA ou audio sans fil compatible ou un
concentrateur USB sans fil, ce qui permet à votre ordinateur de communiquer avec les appareils
connectés. Utilisez les adaptateurs hôtes USB sans fil pour connecter un maximum de six ordinateurs à
un simple appareil. Cette solution sans fil permet une connectivité sans fil dans une seule pièce à des
distances pouvant aller jusqu'à 10 mètres entre l'ordinateur et les appareils connectés. La connexion
sans fil, particulièrement sécurisée est idéale pour les présentations en salle de classe ou de
conférence, ou dans les foyers possédant plusieurs ordinateurs. Nous vous recommandons de lire

REMARQUE IMPORTANTE :
 Pour une installation sur Windows XP, le Service Pack 3 (SP3) est requis. Vérifiez qu'il a
été installé avant d'installer le logiciel de l'appareil USB sans fil.
 Si vous installez le logiciel, assurez-vous que l'adaptateur hôte USB sans fil et les
appareils USB sans fil ne sont pas connectés à l'ordinateur, et que les appareils USB sans
fil ne sont pas sous tension.
Étape 1 : installation du logiciel
Insérez le CD fourni pour faire apparaître l'écran de bienvenue. Cliquez sur Installation du logiciel.
Veuillez suivre les instructions de l'assistant InstallShield afin de procéder aux diverses étapes de
l'installation du logiciel.

Étape 2 : installation du pilote pour l'adaptateur hôte USB sans fil (pour une première installation)
1. Ouvrez le gestionnaire de l'appareil USB sans fil en double-cliquant sur l'icône de la barre d'icône sur
le bas de votre bureau.

2. Veillez à ce que l'antenne soit connectée à l'adaptateur hôte USB sans fil.
3. Branchez l'adaptateur hôte USB sans fil à un port USB disponible de votre ordinateur. Vous pouvez
aussi connecter l'adaptateur hôte USB sans fil au berceau USB fourni dans le pack si vous avez
besoin de rendre l'adaptateur plus mobile.

Windows installera automatiquement les pilotes d'adaptateur hôte USB sans fil appropriés et vous
recevrez un message convivial d'installation réussie comme celui indiqué ci-dessous ou un message
similaire selon votre système d'exploitation, qui vous indiquera que l'installation est satisfaisante.

Afin d'utiliser des appareils USB sans fil certifié avec votre adaptateur hôte USB sans fil, vous devez les
associer avec votre adaptateur hôte USB sans fil. Deux méthodes peuvent être utilisées : L'association de
code PIN et l'association des câbles
Association des câbles
Si votre appareil USB sans fil prend en charge
l'association de code PIN (veuillez vous reporter au
guide de l'utilisateur de votre appareil USB sans fil
délivré par le fabricant), cliquez sur le bouton Mode
Découverte pour que l'adaptateur hôte sans fil en
commence la détection. La détection peut durer jusqu’à
30 secondes. Dès que votre appareil USB sans fil
certifié est détecté, vous devrez entrer son code PIN.
Entrez le code PIN, puis appuyez sur OK. Votre
appareil USB sans fil certifié est à présent associé et
prêt à être utilisé avec votre adaptateur hôte USB sans
fil.

Association des câbles
Si votre appareil USB sans fil certifié ne prend pas en charge l'association de code PIN, vous devrez
effectuer une association des câbles. Reportez-vous au guide de l'utilisateur de votre appareil USB sans
fil certifié délivré par le fabricant pour des instructions sur la manière d'associer les câbles de l'appareil
USB certifié sans fil.
Dès que votre appareil USB sans fil certifié est installé
correctement, l'icône de l'appareil apparaîtra à l'écran :
Page 'Tous les appareils' du Gestionnaire USB sans fil.
Sur l'écran 'Appareils du Gestionnaire USB sans fil',
l'icône de votre appareil USB certifié sans fil apparaîtra
en couleur (exemple : Adaptateur VGA sans fil), qui
indique que votre appareil USB sans fil certifié est actif
et prêt à l'emploi.

Lorsque vous n'utilisez pas votre adaptateur hôte USB TruLink, vous pouvez le déconnecter de votre
ordinateur si vous le souhaitez, et le reconnecter chaque fois que vous êtes prêt à le réutiliser. Le simple
fait de brancher l'adaptateur hôte USB sans fil à nouveau sur votre ordinateur enclenchera une
reconnexion automatique aussi longtemps que votre appareil USB sans fil certifié est sous tension.

GESTIONNAIRE USB SANS FIL
Le gestionnaire USB sans fil est une interface simple et commode qui vous permet de gérer vos appareils
USB sans fil et de contrôler vos paramètres de l'adaptateur hôte USB sans fil. Vous pouvez accéder au
gestionnaire USB sans fil via l'icône Gestionnaire USB sans fil de la barre d'état Windows (Figure : icône
du gestionnaire USB sans fil).

Pour lancer le gestionnaire USB sans fil, doublecliquez sur l'icône du gestionnaire USB sans fil. Dans
le cadre principal, vous trouverez une icône
représentant votre appareil USB sans fil certifié. Si
votre appareil USB sans fil certifié n'est pas connecté,
l'icône apparaîtra grisée (Figure : adaptateur VGA
sans fil non connecté). Si votre appareil USB sans fil
certifié est connecté et prêt à fonctionner, l'icône
change et indique la force du signal (Figure :
adaptateur VGA sans fil connecté).

Le menu VUE indique le choix des types d'appareils que vous souhaitez afficher (Tous les appareils,
Appareils connectés, et Appareils non connectés).
Le menu OPTIONS donne la possibilité de lancer la fenêtre de paramètres hôtes et d'allumer ou d'éteindre
la radio de l'adaptateur hôte USB sans fil.
Le menu AIDE offre une aide rapide sur la manière de connecter les appareils à votre adaptateur hôte
USB sans fil.

Pour gérer les paramètres de l'adaptateur hôte USB sans fil, sélectionnez 'Paramètres hôtes' dans le
menu 'Option' de l'application du gestionnaire USB sans fil ou cliquez-droit sur l'icône Gestionnaire USB
sans fil de la barre d'état Windows.

9. Activer la radio USB sans fil : Allumer ou éteindre la radio

10. Nom de l’hôte : Changer le nom de votre adaptateur

11. Règles pour la connexion et l'association de câbles :
Toujours, Jamais ou Demandez-moi à chaque fois. Par
défaut, USB sans fil vous demandera la permission chaque
fois que vous associez des câbles.

ASSOCIATION AVEC D'AUTRES APPAREILS
CONCEPT D'ASSOCIATION
Afin d'établir une connexion sans fil sûre, l'adaptateur hôte USB sans fil et votre appareil USB certifié
sans fil doivent échanger des informations l'un avec l'autre. Ceci se fait par association des câbles ou du
code PIN.
PROCESSUS D'ASSOCIATION
Si vous achetez des appareils USB sans fil certifiés supplémentaires, vous devrez les associer à votre
adaptateur hôte USB sans fil. Reportez-vous à la documentation de l'appareil USB sans fil certifié pour
plus d'informations concernant ses paramètres d'association ou essayez de contacter le fabricant du
produit pour plus d'aide si nécessaire.

PROCEDURE D'ASSOCIATION DES CABLES
Étapes à suivre pour l'association des câbles : Les exemples et chiffres indiqués sont utilisés en
association à l'adaptateur d'appareil sans fil VGA TruLink.
1. Veillez à ce que le gestionnaire USB sans fil soit activé. Vérifiez la présence de l'icône du gestionnaire
USB sans fil dans la barre d'état Windows (Figure : Gestionnaire USB sans fil).
2. Veillez à ce que le commutateur SANS FIL/FILAIRE soit en position SANS FIL
3. Branchez la source d'alimentation à votre adaptateur d'appareil sans fil USB (adaptateur d'appareil
VGA sans fil TruLink).
4. Connectez le câble USB entre un port USB disponible de votre ordinateur et votre adaptateur
d'appareil sans fil USB.
5. Terminez l'association des câbles en appuyant sur le bouton 'Accepter l'association' lorsque vous en

INTRODUZIONE
Grazie per aver scelto di acquistare l’Adattatore host USB wireless di TruLink®. L’adattatore host USB
wireless di TruLink funziona con un dispositivo VGA wireless, o un adattatore audio o con un Hub USB
wireless compatibili per consentire al computer di comunicare con i dispositivi collegati. Per collegare ad
un unico dispositivo fino a sei computer, utilizzare adattatori host USB wireless aggiuntivi. Questa
soluzione wireless consente una connettività wireless in spazi chiusi fino a un massimo di 10 metri fra il
computer e i dispositivi collegati. La connessione wireless, altamente sicura, è la soluzione ideale per
presentazioni all'interno di aule o sale conferenze, oppure all'interno di case con più computer.

NOTA IMPORTANTE:

Se si esegue l'installazione su Windows XP, è necessario installare Service Pack 3 (SP3).
Verificare che questo software sia stato installato prima di procedere all’installazione del
software USB wireless.
 Se si esegue l’installazione del software, assicurarsi che l’Adattatore Host USB wireless e
i dispositivi USB wireless non siano collegati al computer, e che i dispositivi USB wireless
non siano alimentati.
Passaggio 1 - Installazione del software
Inserire il CD in dotazione; apparirà la schermata iniziale. Cliccare su Installazione software. Si prega di
attenersi alle istruzioni della Procedura Guidata InstallShield per continuare con l'installazione del
software.

Passaggio 2-Installazione del driver per l’Adattatore Host USB wireless (per la prima installazione)
1. Aprire Wireless USB Manager facendo doppio click sull’icona che si trova nella barra delle applicazioni
in basso al desktop.

2. Assicurarsi che l’antenna sia collegata all’Adattatore Host USB wireless.
3. Collegare l’Adattatore Host USB wireless ad una porta USB disponibile sul proprio computer. È inoltre
possibile collegare l'Adattatore Host USB Wireless alla base USB fornita nella confezione qualora
fosse necessario rendere l'adattatore più mobile.

Windows installerà automaticamente i driver appropriati dell'Adattatore Host USB wireless; a questo
punto apparirà un messaggio popup di avvenuta installazione, identico o simile al seguente in base al
sistema operativo.

Per poter utilizzare dispositivi USB wireless certificati con il proprio Adattatore Host USB wireless, è
necessario associarli con l’Adattatore Host USB wireless. Si può ricorrere a due metodi: associazione PIN
e associazione dei cavi.
Associazione PIN
Se il proprio dispositivo USB wireless supporta
l’associazione dei PIN (si prega di far riferimento al
manuale utente del produttore del dispositivo USB
wireless certificato), cliccare sul pulsante “Modalità
individuazione” e l'Adattatore Host wireless inizierà la
ricerca. La procedura di individuazione può richiedere
fino a 30 secondi. Dopo che il dispositivo USB wireless
certificate è stato trovato, all’’utente verrà chiesto di
inserire il numero PIN. Inserire il PIN, quindi cliccare OK.
Il dispositivo USB wireless certificato è ora associato e
pronto per essere utilizzato con l’Adattatore Host USB
wireless.

Associazione dei cavi
Se il proprio dispositivo USB wireless certificato non supporta l’associazione dei PIN, bisognerà eseguire
un’associazione dei cavi. Si prega di far riferimento al manuale utente del produttore del dispositivo USB
wireless certificato per le istruzioni sull’associazione di cavi del proprio dispositivo USB wireless
certificato.
Dopo l’avvenuta installazione del dispositivo USB
wireless certificato, sullo schermo apparirà l'icona del
dispositivo. La pagina Tutti i Dispositivi nel Wireless
USB Manager.
Nel riquadro Dispositivi del Wireless USB Manager,
l’icona del proprio dispositivo USB wireless certificato
sarà colorata (esempio: Adattatore VGA wireless), ad
indicare che il dispositivo USB wireless certificato è
attivo e pronto all’uso.

Se l’Adattatore Host USB TruLink è inutilizzato, può essere scollegato dal PC e ricollegato quando si
desidera utilizzarlo nuovamente. Semplicemente reinserendo l’Adattatore Host USB wireless al PC,
inizierà la riconnessione automatica purché il dispositivo USB wireless certificato sia ancora alimentato.

WIRELESS USB MANAGER
Il software Wireless USB Manager è un’interfaccia semplice e facile per gestire tutti i dispositivi USB
wireless e per controllare le impostazioni dell’Adattatore Host USB wireless. È possibile accedere al
Wireless USB Manager tramite l’icona Wireless USB Manager nella barra delle applicazioni di Windows
(Figura: icona Wireless USB Manager).

Per lanciare il Wireless USB Manager, fare doppio click
sull'icona Wireless USB Manager. Nel pannello
principale, è possibile trovare un'icona che rappresenta
il proprio Dispositivo USB wireless certificato. Se il
Dispositivo USB wireless certificato non è collegato,
l’icona sarà disattivata (Figura: Adattatore VGA wireless
non collegato). Se il dispositivo USB wireless certificato
è collegato e pronto all’uso, l’icona cambierà e indicherà
la potenza di segnale (Figura: Adattatore VGA wireless
collegato).

UTILIZZO DEL WIRELESS USB MANAGER WIRELESS
Il menu VISUALIZZA fornirà la possibilità di scegliere quali tipi di dispositivo si intende visualizzare (Tutti i
dispositivi, Dispositivi Collegati e Dispositivi Non Collegati).
Il menu OPZIONI fornirà la possibilità di lanciare la finestra Impostazioni Host di attivare o disattivare la
funzione radio dell’Adattatore Host USB wireless.
Il menu AIUTO offre una guida rapida sulle modalità di connessione dei dispositivi all’Adattatore Host
USB wireless.

Per gestire le impostazioni dell’Adattatore Host USB wireless, selezionare "Impostazioni Host" nel menu
"Opzioni" dell'applicazione Wireless USB Manager, oppure in
alternativa, fare clic col tasto destro sull’icona Wireless USB
Manager nella barra delle applicazioni di Windows.

accendere la radio USB wireless.
14. Nome Host: Modificare il nome del proprio Adattatore Host

Sempre, Mai, oppure Chiedimi ogni volta. Per default,
l’USB wireless chiederà come procedere ogni volta che si
esegue l’associazione dei cavi.

4. Scelta del canale: questa funzione consente di impostare
manualmente un canale radio per le comunicazioni

CONCETTO DI ASSOCIAZIONE
Per stabilire una connessione wireless sicura, sia l'Adattatore Host USB Wireless che il dispositivo USB
Wireless certificato devono scambiarsi informazioni reciprocamente. Questa operazione avviene tramite
l'associazione dei cavi o dei PIN.

INLEIDING
Dank u voor het aanschaffen van de TruLink® draadloze USB Hostadapter. De TruLink Draadloze USB
Host Adapter werkt met een compatibele draadloze VGA of audio-adapter of met een draadloze USB
HUB om ervoor te zorgen dat uw computer met de aangesloten apparaten kan communiceren. Use
additional Wireless USB Host Adapters to connect as many as six computers to a single device. Dankzij
de draadloze oplossing is draadloze verbinding mogelijk tussen de computer en in dezelfde ruimte
staande aangesloten apparaten tot een afstand van 10 meter. Deze uiterst veilige draadloze verbinding
is ideaal voor presentaties in het klaslokaal of de vergaderzaal of in een gezin waar meerdere computers

BELANGRIJK:

Bij het installeren op Windows XP is Service Pack 3 (SP3) vereist. Controleer dat dit is
geïnstalleerd alvorens de draadloze USB-software te installeren.
 Als u de software installeert moet u ervoor zorgen dat de draadloze USB -hostadapter en
de draadloze USB-apparaten niet op de computer zijn aangesloten en dat de draadloze
USB-apparaten niet op de stroom zijn aangesloten.
Stap 1- De software installeren
Plaats de meegeleverde cd. Een welkomstscherm wordt weergegeven. Klik op software-installatie. Volg
de instructies van de InstallShield-wizard om de software-installatie te voltooien.

Windows zal automatisch de juiste stuurprogramma’s van de draadloze USB-hostadapters installeren en
u krijgt een pop-upbericht, zoals hieronder getoond of een ander, afhankelijk van het besturingssysteem,
dat de installatie is gelukt.

Om het gecertificeerde draadloze USB-apparaat met uw draadloze USB-hostadapter te kunnen
gebruiken, moet u ze koppelen met uw draadloze USB-hostadapter. Voor koppeling kunnen twee
methoden worden gebruikt: PIN-koppeling en kabelkoppeling.
PIN-koppeling
Als uw draadloos USB-apparaat PIN-koppeling
ondersteunt
(raadpleeg
hiervoor
de
gebruikershandleiding van de fabrikant van uw
gecertificeerde draadloze USB-apparaat), klik op de
knop “Discovery Mode” en de draadloze hostadapter
zal beginnen met zoeken. De zoekoperatie kan tot 30
seconden duren. Als het gecertificeerde draadloze
USB-apparaat is gevonden, wordt u gevraagd het PINnummer in te voeren. Voer de PIN in en druk op OK.
Uw gecertificeerde draadloze USB-apparaat is nu
gekoppeld en klaar voor gebruik met de draadloze
USB-hostadapter.

Kabelkoppeling
Als uw gecertificeerde draadloze USB-apparaat PIN-koppeling niet ondersteunt, moet u een
kabelkoppeling uitvoeren. Raadpleeg de gebruikershandleiding van de fabrikant van uw gecertificeerde
draadloze USB-apparaat voor instructies voor kabelkoppeling met uw draadloze USB-apparaat.
Nadat uw gecertificeerde draadloze USB-apparaat is
geïnstalleerd,
wordt
het
apparaatpictogram
weergegeven op het scherm:

Als de TruLink USB-hostadapter niet in gebruik is, kunt u dit als u wilt van uw pc afkoppelen en weer
aansluiten als u het weer wilt gebruiken. Door de draadloze USB-hostadapter op de pc aan te sluiten zal
de pc automatisch weer de aansluiting uitvoeren zolang het gecertificeerde draadloze USB-apparaat op
de stroom is aangesloten

DRAADLOZE USB MANAGER
De draadloze USB Manager is eenvoudige en gebruikersvriendelijke interface waarmee uw draadloze
USB-apparaten kunnen worden beheerd en de instellingen van de draadloze USB-hostadapter kunnen
worden geregeld. De draadloze USB Manager kan worden bereikt via het pictogram van de draadloze
USB Manager in het Windows-vak (Afbeelding: Pictogram Draadloze USB Manager).

Klik op het pictogram van de draadloze USB Manager
om deze te starten. In het hoofdpaneel ziet u een
pictogram dat staat voor het gecertificeerde draadloze
USB-apparaat. Als het gecertificeerde draadloze USBapparaat niet is aangesloten, zal het pictogram grijs zijn

Als het gecertificeerde draadloze USB-apparaat is
aangesloten en gebruiksklaar is, zal het pictogram van
kleur veranderen en zal een signaalsterkte worden

In het menu WEERGEVEN kunt u aangeven welke typen apparaten u wilt weergeven (Alle apparaten,
Aangesloten apparaten en niet-aangesloten apparaten).
In het menu OPTIES kunt u het venster Hostinstellingen starten en de draadloze USB-hostadapter-radio
aan- en uitzetten.
Het menu HELP biedt snelle hulp bij het aansluiten van apparaten op de draadloze USB-hostadapter.

KOPPELING MET ANDERE APPARATEN
KOPPELINGSCONCEPT
Om een veilige en goede draadloze verbinding tot stand te brengen moeten de draadloze USBhostadapter en uw gecertificeerd draadloos USB-apparaat gegevens met elkaar uitwisselen. Dit gebeurt
via een kabel- of PIN-koppeling.
KOPPELINGSPROCES
Als u aanvullende gecertificeerde draadloze USB-apparaten koopt, moet u deze koppelen met de

INTRODUCCIÓN
Le agradecemos la compra del adaptador host USB inalámbrico TruLink®. El adaptador host USB
inalámbrico TruLink funciona con un VGA inalámbrico o adaptador de audio, o con un hub USB
inalámbrico, para que su ordenador se pueda comunicar con dispositivos conectados. Utilice
adaptadores host USB inalámbricos para conectar hasta seis ordenadores a un único dispositivo. La
solución inalámbrica permite la conectividad inalámbrica a corta distancia, de hasta 10 metros, entre el
ordenador y los dispositivos conectados. La conexión inalámbrica, altamente segura, es ideal para
presentaciones en aulas o salas de conferencias, así como en hogares con múltiples ordenadores. Le
recomendamos que lea este manual detenidamente y que lo conserve para su posterior consulta.

NOTA IMPORTANTE:

Si se instala en Windows XP, se requiere el Service Pack 3 (SP3). Verifique que éste se ha
instalado antes de instalar el software USB inalámbrico.
 Cuando esté instalando el software, asegúrese de que el adaptador host USB inalámbrico
y los dispositivos USB inalámbricos no están conectados al ordenador, y de que los
dispositivos USB no están conectados a la alimentación.
Paso 1-Instalación del software
Inserte el CD suministrado y aparecerá la pantalla de bienvenida. Pulse en Instalación de software. Para
proceder con la instalación del software, siga las instrucciones en el Asistente de Instalación.

Paso 2 -Instalación del controlador para el adaptador host USB inalámbrico (la primera vez que se
ejecuta la instalación)
1. Abra su Gestor USB inalámbrico pulsando dos veces sobre el icono en la bandeja de iconos situada en la
parte inferior de su escritorio.

Se abrirá el Gestor USB inalámbrico y le orientará sobre
lo siguiente que debe hacer

2. Asegúrese de que la antena está conectada al adaptador host USB inalámbrico.
3. Conecte el adaptador host USB inalámbrico en cualquier puerto USB disponible en su ordenador. Si
necesita que el adaptador disponga de mayor movilidad, también tiene la opción de conectar el
adaptador host USB inalámbrico al soporte USB suministrado en el paquete.

Windows instalará automáticamente los controladores del adaptador host USB inalámbrico adecuados,
tras lo cual, para que usted sepa que se han instalado correctamente, recibirá un cuadro de texto con el
mensaje de Instalación con éxito, como el que se muestra a continuación o similar, dependiendo de su
sistema operativo.

Para poder utilizar dispositivos USB inalámbricos certificados con su adaptador host USB inalámbrico
necesitará asociarlos a su adaptador host USB inalámbrico. Se pueden utilizar dos métodos: Asociación
por PIN y asociación por cable.
Asociación por PIN
Si su dispositivo USB inalámbrico soporta la asociación
por PIN (consulte la guía del usuario del fabricante de
su dispositivo USB inalámbrico), pulse en el botón Modo
Discovery y el adaptador host inalámbrico comenzará la
detección.
La detección puede llevar hasta 30
segundos.
Una vez que se haya encontrado su
dispositivo USB inalámbrico certificado se le solicitará
que introduzca su número PIN. Introduzca el PIN y
pulse OK. Ahora, su dispositivo USB inalámbrico ya
está asociado y preparado para ser utilizado con su
adaptador host USB inalámbrico.

Asociación por cable
Si su dispositivo USB inalámbrico certificado no soporta la asociación por PIN tendrá que llevar a cabo
una asociación por cable. Consulte la guía del usuario del fabricante de su dispositivo USB inalámbrico
certificado para consultar las instrucciones sobre cómo realizar una asociación por cable para su
dispositivo USB inalámbrico certificado.
Una vez que se haya instalado con éxito su dispositivo
USB inalámbrico certificado, aparecerá en la pantalla su
icono de dispositivo: Página de todos los dispositivos en
el Gestor USB inalámbrico.
En la pantalla de dispositivos del Gestor USB
inalámbrico, el icono para su Dispositivo USB
inalámbrico certificado aparecerá en color (ejemplo:
Adaptador VGA inalámbrico), indicando que su
dispositivo USB inalámbrico certificado está activo y
preparado para ser utilizado.

Cuando no esté utilizando su adaptador host USB TruLink, lo puede desconectar desde su ordenador, si
así lo desea, y lo puede volver a conectar cuando esté preparado para volver a utilizarlo. Al volver a
conectar el adaptador host USB inalámbrico a su ordenador comenzará la reconexión automática,
siempre que su Dispositivo USB inalámbrico certificado siga encendido.

UTILIZACIÓN DEL GESTOR USB INALÁMBRICO
GESTOR USB INALÁMBRICO
El Gestor USB inalámbrico es una interfaz simple y fácil de utilizar para gestionar sus dispositivos USB
inalámbricos y para controlar la configuración de su adaptador host USB inalámbrico. Se puede acceder
al Gestor USB inalámbrico a través del icono Gestor USB inalámbrico que se encuentra situado en la
bandeja de Windows (Figura: Icono del Gestor USB inalámbrico).

Para iniciar el Gestor USB inalámbrico pulse dos veces
sobre el icono del Gestor USB inalámbrico. En el panel
principal puede encontrar un icono que representa su
dispositivo USB inalámbrico certificado. Si su dispositivo
USB inalámbrico certificado no está conectado, el icono
estará en gris (Figura: Adaptador VGA inalámbrico no
conectado). Si su dispositivo USB inalámbrico
certificado está conectado y preparado para funcionar,
el icono cambiará de color y mostrará la potencia de
señal (Figura: Adaptador VGA inalámbrico conectado).

El menú VISTA ofrecerá la opción del tipo de dispositivos que desea visualizar (Todos los dispositivos,
Dispositivos conectados y Dispositivos no conectados).
El menú OPCIONES ofrecerá la opción de iniciar la ventana de Configuración host y de encender o apagar
la radio del adaptador host USB inalámbrico.
El menú AYUDA ofrece ayuda rápida sobre cómo conectar dispositivos a su adaptador host USB.

Para gestionar la configuración del adaptador host USB inalámbrico seleccione “Configuración host” en
el menú “Opción” de la aplicación del Gestor USB inalámbrico o pulse con el botón derecho del ratón
sobre el icono Gestor USB inalámbrico en la bandeja de Windows.

ASOCIACIÓN CON OTROS DISPOSITIVOS
CONCEPTO DE ASOCIACIÓN
Para establecer una conexión inalámbrica segura, tanto su adaptador host USB inalámbrico como su
dispositivo USB inalámbrico certificado deben intercambiar información entre sí. Esto se realiza a través
de la asociación por cable o PIN.
PROCESO DE ASOCIACIÓN
Si compra dispositivos USB inalámbricos certificados adicionales, necesitará asociarlos con su adaptador
host USB inalámbrico. Consulte la documentación de su dispositivo USB inalámbrico certificado para
disponer de más información sobre su configuración para la asociación o, si es necesario, intente
contactar con el fabricante del producto para solicitar asistencia.
