Principal’s Note
Can you believe it?! It’s March already. And hey, “March” pretty much
sounds like “May”, which means we are already beginning our gradual
descent into the summertime. Now that’s hard to believe. But
between here and there, we have a million great things going on!
Here are some examples:
Monday, March 7 is our next Colors for Caring day. Great tradition we
have started here in MISD. Makes sure to participate!

Open the Door to Your Child's Future
March 10 is our annual Faculty volleyball game! We started this
tradition last year, but we found that a ton of our kiddos really wanted
to watch the games. That really isn’t possible in our gym, but this year
we have made arrangements to move the game down the road to the
Worley Middle School gymnasium at 4:30. More information to follow.
SPRING BREAK IS COMING! No school between March 12 and March
20. !
GOOD FRIDAY IS COMING! No school on Friday, March 25. !
The STAAR Writing Test for 4th Grade will be on Tuesday, March 29. No
lunch visitors (or other kinds of visitors) on this day, please.

Nota del Director
¿Pueden creerlo? Ya es marzo, y marzo suena a “mayo”, que significa
que estamos empezando nuestro descenso al tiempo de verano. Eso
es difícil de creer, mientras tanto, tenemos miles de cosas
grandiosas que estarán pasando. Aquí hay algunos ejemplos:
Lunes, 7 de marzo es el siguiente día de apoyar la lucha contra el
cáncer usando colores apropiados. Es una gran tradición que
comenzó aquí en el distrito de MISD. Por favor asegúrese en
participar.

El 10 de marzo el nuestro juego anual de voleibol. Empezamos esta
tradición el año pasado, pero vimos que muchos niños querían ver los
juegos. Esto no es posible en nuestro gimnasio, pero este año hicimos
arreglos para hacer el juego en el gimnasio de la Escuela Worley a las
4:30. Tendremos más información más adelante.
¡YA VIENE EL DESCANSO DE PRIMAVERA! No habrá escuela del 12 al 20
de marzo. !
¡YA VIENE VIERNES SANTO! No habrá escuela el viernes 25 de marzo.

El examen de STAAR de escritura de 4to grado será el martes 29 de
marzo. No se permitirán las visitas durante ese día por favor.

este mes, aparte de no estar en la
escuela por seis días! La asistencia

I have always dreamed of becoming teacher since I was a little girl. I
would get extra worksheets from my teachers in elementary school
and set up a classroom with my stuff animals in my bedroom. Once I
graduated from Red Oak High School, there was no doubt I was
getting my degree in Education. I went to college at Texas A&MCommerce and graduated with a bachelors in Education and minor in
Mathematics.

I received my first teaching job as a Pre-K teacher, and then moved on
to teaching Physical Education in Arlington for two years. I loved PE
but missed the classroom and my love for teaching math. I shortly
became a 5th grade Mathematics teacher. I was in my zone that is for
sure! I loved my students and teaching my favorite subject! My family
and I moved to Mansfield in 2004 and built our first home. Shortly
after, I got a job as the first Math Specialist at Alice Ponder Elementary.
It felt like home. I have been teaching there for 11 wonderful years. I
enjoy teaching what I love and to the whole school! Best of both
worlds!
I have been married to my husband, Steve Sanberg for 14 years! We
own an Insurance firm in Arlington called Advantage Plan Insurance,
which my husband started and currently runs. I have two beautiful
children, Sadie who is 7 years old and Cade who is 12 years old. They
both enjoy being active. Cade is busy playing baseball in the spring
and football in the fall. Sadie is my little dancing queen and enjoys
performing on the stage! We have lived in Mansfield for 14 years. I
love this town and have enjoyed watching my kids grow up here.

Ha ensenado por 16 años. Esos
años incluyen ensenando Pre-K,
PE, 5º grado y ahora soy la
especialista de matemáticas. Ha
ensenado aquí en Alice Ponder
por el pasado 11 años. En mi
trabajo de especialista de
matemáticas yo puedo trabajar
con todos los alumnos de la
escuela, y eso es algo que me
encanta muchísimo.

Ha estado casada con mi esposo,
Steve Sanberg por 14 años. Los
dos somos dueños de su
compañía de seguranza que se
llama Advantage Plan Insurance.
Tenemos dos hijos, Sadie tiene 7
años y Cade tiene 12 años. Los
dos son muy activos. En la primavera Cade juega baseball y en el
otoño juega futbol americano. Sadie le encanta a bailar. Ya tenemos
14 años de vivir aquí en Mansfield y nos encantamos viviendo en esta
ciudad. Durante mi tiempo libre, encanto a estar con mi familia, a ir en
compras y decorando mí casa.
