I believe that students learn
best when they are in a positive
learning environment.
Being in such an environment
will allow the student to feel
comfortable and at ease to
participate fully in class
discussions, peer discussions,
etc... Being actively engaged
will help to ensure a student’s
understanding and
comprehension of the material
being taught. Before this
involvement can take place, a
student must feel confident
that their feedback will be
welcomed and appreciated by
their teacher and their peers
rather than ridiculed. As the
teacher, I feel that it is my
responsibility to create this
positive learning environment
and to make certain that
negative behavior will not be
tolerated in my classroom.

Mi creencia es que los
estudiantes aprenden mejor en
un medio ambiente positivo en
cual el estudiante se siente
agusto y relajado para
participar completamente en
las discusiónes de clase y entre
ellos y sus compañeros de
clase. Actual participación
ayadara a asegurar que el
estudiante entienda y aprenda
mejor el material escolar. Pero,
antes que el estudiande pueda
involucrarse, el o ella tiene que
tener confianza que su
participación sera bienvenida
y acceptada, ademas esperada
de parte de su maestra y
compañeros, y no seran
ridiculizados ni burlados.
Como maestra, yo siento que
es mi responsabilidad de crear

voy a asegurarme de que no se
encuentre comportamiento
negativo en la clase.

Tardy Policy
Students will not be allowed to use the
restroom during lab or while the
teacher is lecturing. Also, as per school
policy students are unable to use the
restroom the first 20 min of class or the
last 20 min of class. Use of the restroom
is a privilege and will depend on
students’ behavior and work habits.
Extra Credit
I am not obligated to give extra credit.
However, should I decide to offer it, it will
only be available to those students who do
not have any zeros or make-up work. Why
would I give extra work if the student cannot
complete the work already given.
Tardies will result in the following: 1Tardy- Warning, 2 Tardies- Parent contact and teacher
detention after school, 3 Tardies- ISS lunch detention, 4 Tardies: 1 Week of lunch ISS, 5
Tardies- 3 days of ISS. Parents will be notified each time you serve detention.
Absence Policy
You have one day for every absence to make up any assignments. Check the website for
assignments missed. If an assignment is not posted for that day you must check with a
classmate for notes missed. If you were absent for a test or a lab, you will need to coordinate
with me a time in which you can make it up, before or after class, NOT during class.
