Dear Teacher,
Attached you will find a ¡Eres una estrella! Certificate and Bookmark. You can use
this certificate and bookmark, along with the “You’re a Star” Poster with the Houghton
Mifflin Spanish Leveled Readers, Libros graduables, to encourage your students to read
aloud outside the classroom. This certificate is available in optional 2 formats, color or
black and white, for easy copying.
We are sure that you will find many uses for the ¡Eres una estrella! Certificate and
Bookmark. One suggestion would be that you use the certificate and poster to strengthen
your Home-School Connection Program by sending one of the Spanish Leveled Readers,
Libros graduables home in a protective plastic bag along with the certificate to be signed
by the person who listens to your student read-aloud their book. The signed certificate
along with the book, placed inside the protective bag, is returned to school and you can
then award your student with a star on the “You’re a Star” Poster.
By encouraging children to read-aloud outside of the classroom on a regular basis you
will be supporting their reading fluency, independence and success.
