EUROPEAN COMMISSION Brussels, 5.12.2013 C(2013) 8847 final COMMISSION DECISION of 5.12.2013 concerning the granting of Union financial aid for projects of common interest ‘Business to Motorways of the Sea’ - 2012-EU-21020-S - in the field of the trans-European transport network (TEN-T) (ONLY THE ENGLISH, GERMAN, GREEK, ITALIAN, SLOVENE AND SPANISH TEXTS ARE AUTHENTIC) EN EN COMMISSION DECISION of 5.12.2013 concerning the granting of Union financial aid for projects of common interest ‘Business to Motorways of the Sea’ - 2012-EU-21020-S - in the field of the trans-European transport network (TEN-T) (ONLY THE ENGLISH, GERMAN, GREEK, ITALIAN, SLOVENE AND SPANISH TEXTS ARE AUTHENTIC) THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION, Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Union’), Having regard to Regulation (EC) No 680/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2007 laying down general rules for the granting of Community financial aid in the field of trans-European transport and energy networks1; Whereas (1) In accordance with Regulation (EC) No 680/2007, Union financial aid to projects of common interest in the field of the trans-European networks may be granted only to projects of common interest identified in accordance with Article 155 of the Treaty establishing the European Community2. (2) Decision No 661/2010/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council3 establishes Union guidelines for the development of the trans-European transport network and identifies projects of common interest. (3) The action to which this Decision relates is a project of common interest and contributes to the achievement of the objectives laid down by Decision No 661/2010/EU. (4) The action to which this Decision relates contributes to the objectives laid down by the Multi-annual work programme 2012 for grants in the field of trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) for the period 2007-2013, C(2012)1574 of 15 March 2012 as amended by Decision C(2012)8508 of 27 November 2012 and Decision C(2013)1675 of 21 March 2013. (5) Pursuant to the work programme, the Commission published a call for proposals on 28 November 2012 for the award of Union financial aid. EN Each beneficiary shall do its utmost to carry out the action as described in Annex II, acting on its own responsibility. 3 EN Article 2 Financing the Action Union financial aid of no more than EUR 5,697,000 (in words: five million, six hundred and ninety-seven thousand ) is hereby granted to the beneficiaries. Article 3 Conditions of Implementation All other terms and conditions applicable to this Decision are specified in the Annexes.
