Nando Esteva,
oro en París con
“Raíces” y plata
con “Flor de piña”
El jurado de los prestigiosos Prix de la
Photographie Paris Px3 ha otorgado
el oro a Nando Esteva por su serie
fotográfica “Raíces” en publicidad gastronómica. Máxima distinción en esta
categoría que se suma a las obtenidas
en las ediciones de 2014, con “Food
and foot”, y en 2013 con “Punk Food”.
Entre las miles de imágenes presentadas por profesionales de 85 países, los
máximos representantes de la industria fotográfica internacional también
han otorgado la plata a “Flor de piña”
en la sección de Naturaleza-Flores.
Raíces, distinguida con el oro y una
mención de honor, es un proyecto en
el que Nando Esteva se adentra en el
binomio gastronomía-cultura a través
del alimento primario. Un ejercicio
de poesía visual compuesto por ocho
fotografías en las que las huellas
ancestrales tiñen la piel imaginada
del vegetal. El tatuaje sobre el alimento representa así la carga cultural
con la que llega a nuestros platos, su
identidad, su mensaje. Convertida la
cocina en arte, da paso a la reflexión
desmenuzando el valor simbólico de
sus componentes.

La Galería Altair de Palma de Mallorca expone desde el 19 de junio y hasta
el 7 de agosto “Pelea de gallos”: video
arte, fotografía y escultura a cargo de
Nando Esteva y Josep Antoni Pérez
de Mendiola.
Pelea de gallos, el primer video
arte del fotógrafo Nando Esteva, es
una metáfora de la vida y la muerte
grabada en el emblemático edificio Es
Sindicat (Felanitx), de la que Mendiola ha hecho una lectura escultórica.
“La mar de
helados”,
en Port Adriano
este verano
Un puerto, un mar y un helado. Vivencias que desde la niñez asociamos a la
alegría y al verano y que se fusionan
en la serie fotográfica “La mar de helados” de Nando Esteva, que este verano
se expone en Port Adriano (Calvià,
Mallorca) en imágenes de gran formato (7x4 metros) en los marcos diseñados por Philippe Starck.
Símbolos tan marineros como un
ancla, un corcho de pesca, una boya
antigua de cuerda, un mallazo, una
carta náutica o un barco de papel son
el hilo conductor de esta colección
de imágenes.
Una nueva
concepción
de estudio
gastronómico
Nando Esteva ha creado en 2015 un
espacio para la exploración y desarrollo de proyectos vinculados al binomio
fotografía-gastronomía. Cocinando Producciones ofrece una nueva
concepción con un estudio de 120
metros cuadrados, ubicado en Palma
de Mallorca, que es a la vez una cocina
real y un plató profesional.
Un espacio abierto a la fotografía de
cartas gastrónomicas y de productos
industriales relacionados con el sector
de la cocina así como a proyectos creativos y solidarios. Para ello, Cocinando
Producciones dispone de una cocina
de última generación de Cocinart -del
grupo Espacio Home Design Group–,
con materiales naturales, como la madera del suelo procedente de bosques
sostenibles, y estilo nórdico combinado
con elementos mediterráneos.
Loveat provee de alimentos ecológicos, locales, de temporada y procedentes de comercio justo provistos
por Loveat.

ranking 2014 de
"El Publicista"
Nando Esteva es el mejor fotógrafo
publicitario español de 2014, según el
ranking elaborado por la revista “El
Publicista”, que anualmente publica
la clasificación de los profesionales
y empresas líderes en el sector. “El
Publicista” destaca que Esteva “se ha
revelado como uno de los mejores de
Europa, cosechando premios durante
todo 2014.

itinerante Premios
LUX 2014
Las obras de Nando Esteva galardonadas en la última edición de los premios
LUX de Fotografía Profesional 2014
han participado en la exposición itinerante que se ha podido visitar a lo largo de estos últimos meses en Granada,
Asturias, Barcelona y Bilbao.
Las series fotográficas de Nando
Esteva premiadas son: “Al-Hambre”,
oro en la categoría de proyecto personal; “El Lápiz”, plata en la categoría de
proyecto personal y “Es Fum Art Food”,
plata en la categoría de bodegón.
“Al-Hambre”,
seleccionada en
la London Creative
Competition
La serie “Al-Hambre” fue seleccionada en la octava edición de la London
International Creative Competition
(LICC) por un jurado integrado por figuras internacionales del sector de las
artes visuales, que la ha incluido en la
‘shortlist’ del concurso. Esta ha sido la
primera participación de Nando Esteva en la London Creative Competition,
que se creó en 2006 con el objetivo de
facilitar el contacto entre artistas de
talento y el público internacional.

Nando Esteva has been awarded
the golden prize by the jury of the
prestigious Prix de la Photographie
Paris Px3 for its photo series “Roots”
in gastronomic advertising. It is the
highest distinction in this category,
which is added to those obtained
in the 2014 edition, with “Food and
foot”, and in 2013 with “Punk Food”.
The maximum representatives of the
international photographic industry have also awarded the silver to
“Pineapple flower” in the section of
Nature-Flowers among the thousands
of images presented by professionals
from 85 different countries.
Roots, awarded with the gold and
a special honour, is a project in which
Nando Esteva explores the coupling
gastronomy-culture through the
primary food. An exercise of visual
poetry formed by eight photographs in
which the ancestral footprints dye the
imagined skin of the vegetable. Thus,
the tattoo on the food represents the
cultural baggage with which it arrives
to our dishes, its identity, its message. The cuisine turned art invites to
reflexion shredding the symbolic value
of its components.

Cock Fighting, the first Nando Esteva’s video art, is a metaphor of life
and death recorded in the emblematic building Es Sindicat (Felanitx) of
which Mendiola has done a sculptural reading.

A harbour, a sea and an ice-cream.
Experiences we relate to happiness
and summer since our childhood fuse
together in the photo series “A sea of
ice-creams” by Nando Esteva, which
will be exhibited this summer in Port
Adriano (Calvià, Mallorca), with large
format images (7x4 metres) and frames designed by Philippe Starck.
Fishing symbols such as an anchor,
a fishing cork, an old rope buoy, a
mesh net, a nautical chart or a paper
boat are the common thread of this
collection of images.
A new conception
of gastronomic
studio
Nando Esteva has created in 2015 a
space for the exploration and creation
of projects related to the coupling
photography-gastronomy. Cocinando
Producciones offers a new conception
with a 120-square-metre studio, located in Palma de Majorca, which is both
a real kitchen and a professional set.
A space open to the photography
of gastronomic menus and industrial
products related to cuisine and to
creative and solidary projects. For
this aim, Cocinando Producciones
has set a state-of-the-art kitchen by
Cocinart –of the group Espacio Home
Design Group-, with natural materials, such as the wooden flooring
coming from sustainable woods, and
of Nordic style combined with Mediterranean elements.
Loveat makes the provision of
ecological, local, seasonal food and
products coming from fair trade.

2014 ranking
Nando Esteva is the best 2014 Spanish
advertising photographer, according
to the ranking elaborated by “El
Publicista”, which every year publishes
the classification of professionals and
leading businesses of the sector. “El
Publicista” highlights the fact that
Esteva “has come out as one of the
best photographers in Europe, reaping
awards throughout the 2014”.

exhibition Lux
2014 Awards
Nando Esteva’s works awarded in
the last edition of Lux 2014 Awards
of Professional Photography have
participated in the itinerant exhibition
that Granada, Asturias, Barcelona and
Bilbao have hosted these last months.
The awarded Nando Esteva’s
photographic series are: “Al-Hambre”,
golden in the category of personal
project; “The Pencil”, silver in the
category of personal project and “Es
Fum Art Food”, silver in the category
of still life.
“Al-Hambre”,
selected in the
London Creative
Competition.
The series “Al-Hambre” was selected
and included in the shortlist of the
eighth edition of the London International Creative Competition (LICC)
by a jury formed by international
figures of the sector of visual arts.
This has been the first Nando Esteva’s
participation in the London Creative
Competition, which was created in
2006 with the aim of promoting the
contact between talented artists and
the international public.
