ELECTRIC OVENS
TRENT electric ovens are available in three
basic designs: 1) Radiant Heat Transfer
which provides direct radiation from the
heat source for quick, inexpensive heat
within a limited area, 2) Gravity Convection
design uses an indirect heat source by placing
heating elements behind baffles to create
natural air circulation, and 3) Forced Air
Circulation Ovens which achieve temperature
uniformity by circulating air through a
centrifugal fan across resistance heaters to the
work chamber, alleviating work load distortion.
From small heaters to 50-foot customdesigned conveyor ovens, and from low
temperatures to 2500°F, TRENT has the
experience, capabilities, and knowledge
to customize your heating solution. Our
unique Folded & Formed® heating
elements deliver superior performance
for today’s heat-treat processes.
Our wide range of products meet heat
processing requirements of diverse
industries, including glass, nuclear fuels,
electronics, synthetic fibers, plastics,
aerospace, chemicals, ceramics, and
many more. In addition, we offer
engineering services to help you custom
design equipment to efficiently meet
your application’s requirements.

ELECTRIC MELTERS
TRENT Lead and Babbit Melting Pots are made in a variety of sizes with 100 pound to 2000
pound capacity. All TRENT Melter Pots are fabricated from heavy gauge steel with fully
reinforced outer casings for long service.
The TRENT Aluminum and Zinc Melting Furnaces are specially designed for these “hard-tohandle” metals, and are available in stationary or tilting models.
TRENT Solder and Tinning Troughs answer the demand for precision controlled heavy duty
equipment. All Troughs are standard for bench and floor mounting.

FOLDED & FORMED® RACKS
TRENT standard F&F® heater racks with exclusive TRENT Folded and Formed® nickel-chrome
heating elements radiate optimum heat at low watt density. Within an aluminized or alloy steel
frame, supported by high-grade refractory porcelain, these ribbon elements provide heat more
readily and over a wider area than other elements. This means more heat, faster, with less energy
expended. They also allow faster cooling to prolong element life. These benefits, coupled with
ease of installation make TRENT F&F® heating racks as economical as they are efficient.

ELECTRIC KETTLES
TRENT KA Round Series kettles are designed to apply heat by radiation to the external surfaces
of a given vessel. The vessel can be removed from the kettle without removing the heaters or
disturbing the electrical connections. Steel side walls skirt down over part of the outer casing
protecting the heating elements from boil-over and possible damage.
TRENT’s KR or rectangular series is designed with radiant and convection heat. The vessel
proper may be removed from the kettle without disturbing the electrical connections.
Both series are available with heated valve and agitation systems.

IMMERSION AND FINTUBE HEATERS
TRENT’s oil immersion (TRO, TSO and TSOL series) and Fintube (FO Series)
heaters are designed for oil preheating, oil baths, and heating other heat transfer
fluids. Oil immersion heaters use a tubular heater design. Fintube heaters have
an aluminum flange welded to a longitudinal finned tubing. The fins increase
the surface area, lowering the watts per square inch, and enabling a
higher kW to be used in a shorter length. The TRO series can be
supplied for single phase, or three phase open delta and comes with a
standard 4” outlet box. TSO, TSOL and FO series units are three phase,
and come complete with a 6” outlet box. Explosion proof heads can be
supplied for all models.

ELECTRIC JACKETS
Whether your application involves heating liquids or gasses, in such process vehicles as
kettles, retorts, reactors or piping, a TRENT electric jacket assures dependable heat at
temperatures not possible with steam or liquid heating methods.
Only TRENT high temperature jackets feature the exclusive Folded and Formed® nickelchrome ribbon heating element. This difference is what enables TRENT jackets to operate
at lower watt densities than conventional systems, reducing the incidence of heater
burnout while increasing efficiency, temperature control and uniformity.
CONVEYOR OVENS AND FURNACES
TRENT conveyor ovens and furnaces automate the batch process for maximum
production and minimum unit costs. These ovens and furnaces are custom-built to
meet exacting requirements for temperatures up to 2000°F.
Metal working and machinery, chemicals, plastics, glass, ceramics, electronics and
electrical machinery are only a few of the manufacturing and processing industries
where conveyor ovens and furnaces are used. TRENT conveyors are typically
constructed as one-piece units for complete package shipping wherever physically
practical. Modular designs are available to allow for future expansion, quick assembly and
on-site installation.
OTHER ELECTRIC HEATING ELEMENTS
TRENT also manufactures a wide range of strip, tubular, cartridge, and ceramic ring
heaters and hot plates designed to meet a variety of heating needs. Strip heaters
encased in seamless tubing are formed without grooves to achieve distortion-free
heating. The tubes are also pressed tight and sealed to insure moisture resistance.
Copper, steel or alloy tubular immersible heaters are available in straight lengths or in
bends formed to any required shape. Especially useful for immersion in oil, water or
corrosives, TRENT tubular heaters are also designed to provide convection heat in
lower temperature ovens. And, where spot heating is required, sheathed and
sheathless cartridge heaters provide utility heating directly to the object or material.
