Todo ello se llevará a cabo a través de diferentes ejercicios y tareas que presenten tanto el vocabulario específico como las expresiones comúnmente utilizadas para tales fines. This unit is divided into four activities: Activity 1: In this activity, you will do some tasks about Christmas. You will make a word cloud about this festivity. Activity 2: In this activity you will sing a Chritsmas Carol: Silent Night. Activity 3: In this activity you will to make a Christmas card. Final activity: In this activity you will make an interview to Santa Claus and you will record it. At the end of this unit, you will have done several types of activities: you will have to work with classmates or independently, you will have to think, to go a step ahead if you want more information, to evaluate yourself, etc. These are some of the skills you will practise by doing these activities. You will learn a lot of vocabulary related to Christmas. You will learn some Christmas carols and other cultural aspects. You will work individually and also in pairs. You will talk about Christmas with your teacher and your classmates. But before, think about the answers for the following questions: Does your religion celebrate Christmas? Do you celebrate Christmas in your home town? What is the weather like in your home country at Christmas? What do people in your town do at Christmas? Do you like this celebration? Is it a family celebration for you? Do any members of your family come to visit you? You will use the vocabulary that you have learnt to talk about Christmas and other festivities in other cultures. Try to choose some important words. When you finish, write words about Chistmas in a text document and send it to your teacher by email. Now, you will work in pairs. Are you ready? Let's go! You have to make a word cloud using Wordle. Choose ten words about Christmas for your personal cloud. When you finish, you exchange it with your classmates. What do you know about Santa Claus? In this activity you will work in groups of four. Are you ready? Let's go! You have to write ten questions about Santa Claus in a text document that you have to share with your teacher using Google Docs. There will be four groups in your class; so, you will make four Christmas cards. To make the presentation, you will have to do the following tasks: Search and insert pictures. Also, send your template to your teacher by mail or webmail. It's your turn. My Christmas In this activity you will make a description. You need a photograph about Christmas. You can use a picture of something that you have got at home, for example: your Christmas tree, your Christmas decorations, your nativity scene, etc. Then, insert the picture onto a text document and write a description about this picture. When you finish, send the document to your teacher by email. When your teacher has all the pictures and descriptions, he or she will share them with you all.
