Rabbit-Proof Fence
(Senior Intermediate Skills A)
This course addresses the language students need to be able to give opinions and
debate different topics. The book, Rabbit-Proof Fence, is based on real events, and is
about Aboriginal children growing up in 1930s Australia. The students also XVHFOLSV

Este curso trabaja el desarrollo del lenguaje necesario para poder dar opiniones y debatir diferentes temas. El libro Rabbit-Proof Fence está basado en eventos reales, y es
una historia sobre unos niños aborígenes en Australia en los años 30.
1984
(Senior Intermediate Skills B)
The students read an abridged version of George Orwell’s classic novel 1984, exploring the topics that form the core of the story – governmental control, rules, society,
fear, and media manipulation. Through a variety of communicative tasks and activities,
students reinforce their understanding of the story and relate it to the world they live
in today.
Los alumnos leerán una versión abreviada del clásico "1984" de George Orwell, y
explorarán los temas clave de la historia – control gubernamental, normas, sociedad,
miedo, y la manipulación mediática. A través de actividades comunicativas, los alum
nos refuerzan su comprensión de la historia y la relacionan con el mundo actual.
Drama and Presentation Course
(Senior Upper Intermediate)
On this course students will develop skills in performance, presentation, drama, script
and dialogue writing. At the end of two weeks the group will finally collaborate to
produce a short play. Students will work on drama techniques and improvisation skills which will help them to grow in confidence and also give them necessary
skills to work towards the final project.
En este curso los alumnos desarrollan habilidades de interpretación, presentaciones y
trabajan con diálogos y guiones. Al final de las dos semanas el grupo será capaz de
interpretar una pequeña representación. Los estudiantes trabajarán en técnicas de
actuación y habilidades de improvisación que les ayudarán a aumentar su confianza
proporcionándoles las habilidades necesarias para trabajar en el proyecto final.

The Firm
(Senior Upper Intermediate Reading and Writing)
This course is based a graded version of the novel by John Grisham. Each day involves Reading and Listening activities specially designed to check understanding of
the novel. The students also intensively practise Writing in English, and what they produce is then discussed and planned in class and afterwards finished for homework.
Este curso está basado en una versión adaptada de la novela de John Grisham. Cada
día se trabaja en actividades de lectura y comprensión auditiva especialmente diseñadas
para comprender la novela. Los alumnos también practican escritura en inglés y sus
trabajos son expuestos y debatidos en clase para posteriormente ser finalizados en
casa..
The Fault in Our Stars
(Senior Advanced Reading and Writing)
This course is based around a popular contemporary novel,‘The Fault in Our Stars’
by John Green. Each day involves speaking, reading and listening activities specially designed to check understanding of the novel and discuss related topics and
themes. The students also intensively practise writing in English, and this is discussed
and planned in class and afterwards finished for homework. The students leave this
course having improved their confidence in preparing for writing for CAE.
Este curso se basa en la novela contemporánea popular “Bajo la misma estrella” de
John Green. Cada día requiere hablar, leer, y escuchar a través de actividades especialmente diseñadas para demostrar la comprensión de la novela, y para fomentar
el debate de los tópicos y temas. Los alumnos trabajan para desarrollar la escritura,
planificando el trabajo en clase antes de completar la redacción en casa. Los alumnos
terminan este curso mejorando su confianza en escribir para el CAE.

Senior Advanced Speaking
These are practical, task-based courses which combine the teaching of different
speaking skills with the most common conversational techniques. The students come
away from these courses more confident in their speaking and conversational skills,
and far more aware of how to improve their speaking in the future.
Estos cursos son prácticos, basados en tareas que combinan el desarrollo de distintas
destrezas de expresión oral con las técnicas más comunes de conversación. Los alumnos terminan estos cursos con más confianza en sus habilidades de conversación y
expresión oral, y con un conocimiento elevado sobre como seguir mejorando en
su expresión oral en el futuro.

Our short Booster courses are designed to equip students with the skills required in
each of the five papers of the FCE and CAE exams in addition to lots of useful advice.
