SYNOPSIS
A story where power and tradition determine the destiny of the people, especially young girls who are compelled to
marry men twice their age.
Such is the case of Zehra, a 13-year old girl, torn from her innocence by her own parents, who force her to marry
the son of a wealthy family. Despite being so young, Zehra stands up to her parents: she doesn’t want to quit
school or leave her siblings. She doesn’t want to be forced to grow up. But her desperate pleas aren’t heard: the
child must do what she is told, even if that means her destiny goes against her happiness.
Once married, Zehra moves into a mansion with her “new family”. And she will have to learn how to put up with the
ordeals this life brings. However, she isn’t willing to mortgage her future. With the help of a school teacher, she tries
to escape from this terrible life. On the way, Zehra must face a number of situations that will almost break her. But a
secret kept for many years might be the key to her salvation.
