SACRED HEART CHURCH
AUSTIN, TEXAS
For the last two years we have had the pleasure of
the services of Fr. Alirio Fernandez. Bishop Joe
Vasquez is sending Fr. Alirio to serve in Temple,
Texas at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Temple.
Fr. Alirio has made numerous contributions to our
parish while he was here. Not only has he served lots
of Masses here, heard many confessions and
anointed many, he has also left some very good
contributions that will last. Our parish has been strengthened with a
flourishing SINE program, offering formation for the “New Evangelization”,
with advanced studies in Scripture and Catechism. In addition, with the
assistance of Deacon Willie Cortez, Fr. Alirio has given us the tradition of
“Bodas Comunitarias” (Group weddings) in which 42 couples have been
able to be married in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony over the past two
years. Fr. Alirio has presided over four “Bodas Comunitarias” which we
offer every six months. Many people are going to Holy Communion as a
family due to the efforts of Fr. Alirio.
Please join me in praying for Fr. Alirio during this transition period and
wishing him well in his new assignment. Thank you, Fr. Alirio, for all your
contributions to Sacred Heart Parish.

Por los últimos dos años hemos tenido el placer de
tener los servicios del Padre Alirio Fernández. Sin
embargo, ahora el Obispo Joe Vásquez está
solicitando que el Padre Alirio sirva en la Iglesia de
Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe en Temple.
Padre Alirio ha hecho numerosas contribuciones a
nuestra parroquia mientras ha estado aquí. No solo
nos ha servido en muchas misas, o escuchado
muchas confesiones y ungido enfermos, sino también nos ha dejado muy
buenas contribuciones para el futuro. Nuestra parroquia ha sido
fortalecida con un floreciente programa de SINE, ofreciendo formación
para la “Nueva Evangelización”, con estudios avanzados en Escrituras y
Catecismo. Además, junto con el Diacono Willie Cortez, Padre Alirio nos
ha dado la tradición de las “Bodas Comunitarias” (Bodas en Grupo) en
las cuales 42 parejas han recibido el sacramento del matrimonio en los
dos años pasados. Padre Alirio ha presidido las misas durante las cuatro
“Bodas Comunitarias” las cuales se ofrecen cada seis meses. Muchas
personas van a recibir la Santa Comunión en familia gracias al esfuerzo
del Padre Alirio.
Por favor oremos por el Padre Alirio durante este periodo de transición y
deseándole que le vaya muy bien en su nueva asignación.
Agradeciéndole al Padre Alirio por todas sus contribuciones realizadas a
la Iglesia del Sagrado Corazón.

THE MOST HOLY TRINITY
Priests Summer Convocation
The Priests will have their Summer Convocation with
the bishop Joe Vasquez at Horse Shoe Bay on
June 1st, 2nd and 3rd. For this reason we will
not celebrate the 6:30 pm evening Mass on
Monday, June 1st and Tuesday, June 2nd.

Los sacerdotes tendrán su Convocación de Verano
con el obispo Joe Vasquez en Horse Shoe Bay
en Junio 1, 2 & 3. Por esta razón no se celebraran
las misas de las 6:30 pm por la tarde el Lunes,
