The door is divided into several horizontal sections
which are then hinged together. They also use the

garage door allowing the FrenchPorte® door to roll
vertically back into the garage.

• FANTASTIC CURB APPEAL. Our FrenchPorte® styles were designed as an elegant set of
French doors, yet maintain the convenience of a traditional overhead garage door. We offer
four beautiful styles for the homeowner to choose from: Jennifer®, Kendra®, Madeleine®,
and Christina. (See pages 3-6 for samples of the different models)
• UNPARALLELED STRENGTH. FrenchPorte®’s reinforced aluminum framing and unbreakable,
frosted polycarbonate panes ensure the utmost in strength, security and privacy.
• ABSOLUTE SAFETY. Our patented pinch-proof and seamless extrusions ensure ultimate
safety. Fingers will not get caught between sections.
• Certifications:
Windload Tested up to 130 mph winds.
Cycle Tested: certified to exceed 100,000 cycles.
Certified Green as only recyclable materials are utilized in construction.
Construction:
Each FrenchPorte® garage door is constructed with our new, patented, seamless construction and
pinch-resistant extrusions combining safety with beauty. The aluminum provides strength while
maintaining a lighter overall weight. The translucent frosted panes are made using polycarbonate
sheets which are virtually unbreakable and able to withstand the most extreme conditions.
This maintenance-free design will provide a long-life without rusting,
warping or rotting.
Allow daylight to enter your interior space when your garage
door is closed. FrenchPorte® garage doors are translucent but
not transparent.

HOW TO MEASURE A GARAGE DOOR
STEP 5
STEP 1
Measure the width of the door opening at the widest point.
This is the distance between the right and left sides of the
finished opening. The inside of the garage door should be
framed with 2-in x 6-in wood jambs.
STEP 2
Measure the height of the door opening at the highest
point. This is the distance between the floor and the top of
the finished opening.
STEP 3
Measure the width of the areas beside the openings. 4-in are required on each side for installation of the
vertical track.
STEP 4
Measure the area between the top of the door opening to the ceiling. FrenchPorte® doors require 15-in
of headroom for the door installation. An additional 3-in are required and an automatic operator.
Installation with less than measurements shown above will require special hardware.
STEP 5
Measure the distance from the garage opening to the rear of the garage.
(The door height plus an additional 18-in are required for the door installation or an additional 4-ft 2-in
plus door height if installing an automatic opener.)
Measurements are used for pricing purposes only. An installer will re-measure to ensure proper fit.
