Memorizing the Ten Commandments
1.) No other gods ========
#1 shows that "God is First" (“God” is written above the number one with “st next to the number
one.), there's one God, don't have any other

ribbon.

2.) No graven image ======
#2 as a man's body kneeling, don't bow your knee to anyone else
3.) Name in Vain =========
#3 as two faces one above and one below, Bottom face is puzzled face looking up asking, "Why is
he saying God's name in vain?" Top face is man speaking out to the left, with lines coming from his
mouth.
4.) Remember Sabbath ===
#4 is shaped as a church bench, with a mother and daughter seated in church looking at a Bible in
the mother's lap.
5.) Honor Father ========
#5 with a crown on the top of the number, a crown shows honor
6.) Not Kill =============
#6 formed like a gun with "Bang" written
7.) No Adultery ========
#7 formed as a women's face
OR
Heart with a break shaped like a seven It hurts if you love another
8.) Not Steal ==========
#8 formed as handcuffs
OR
Cookie jar shaped like an eight has the top off with cookies beside (stealing cookies)
9.) No False Witness ===
#9 formed as a face with mouth opened
OR
Nine lying down (does not work in Spanish)
10.) No Covet ==========
#10 with the 0 being a face with a question mark above (this Christian is saying, "Why look at me,
I'm not going to covet!)

The one is a doorway with man looking out the zero is the shape of a diamond ring
(man is coveting another's ring)

Exodus 20
1 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of
the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that
is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the
earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God
am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third
and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my
commandments.
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not
hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do
any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant,
nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is,
and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and
hallowed it.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land
which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
13 Thou shalt not kill.
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 Thou shalt not steal.
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

Éxodo 20
1 Y habló Dios todas estas palabras, diciendo:
2 Yo soy Jehová tu Dios, que te saqué de la tierra de Egipto, de casa de
servidumbre.
3 No tendrás dioses ajenos delante de mí.
4 No te harás imagen, ni ninguna semejanza de lo que esté arriba en el cielo, ni
abajo en la tierra, ni en las aguas debajo de la tierra.
5 No te inclinarás a ellas, ni las honrarás; porque yo soy Jehová tu Dios, fuerte,
celoso, que visito la maldad de los padres sobre los hijos hasta la tercera y cuarta
generación de los que me aborrecen,
6 y hago misericordia a millares, a los que me aman y guardan mis mandamientos.
7 No tomarás el nombre de Jehová tu Dios en vano; porque no dará por inocente
Jehová al que tomare su nombre en vano.
8 Acuérdate del día de reposo para santificarlo.
9 Seis días trabajarás, y harás toda tu obra;
10 mas el séptimo día es reposo para Jehová tu Dios; no hagas en él obra alguna,
tú, ni tu hijo, ni tu hija, ni tu siervo, ni tu criada, ni tu bestia, ni tu extranjero que está
dentro de tus puertas.
11 Porque en seis días hizo Jehová los cielos y la tierra, el mar, y todas las cosas
que en ellos hay, y reposó en el séptimo día; por tanto, Jehová bendijo el día de
reposo y lo santificó.
12 Honra a tu padre y a tu madre, para que tus días se alarguen en la tierra que
Jehová tu Dios te da.
13 No matarás.
14 No cometerás adulterio.
15 No hurtarás.
16 No hablarás contra tu prójimo falso testimonio.
17 No codiciarás la casa de tu prójimo, no codiciarás la mujer de tu prójimo, ni su
siervo, ni su criada, ni su buey, ni su asno, ni cosa alguna de tu prójimo.
