He and his three friends ( Chris Chambers, Teddy Duchamp and Vern Tessio) usually spend their summer holidays around in their treehouse playing cards and generally goofing off. One day they find out where the corpse of Ray Brower( a boy of their own age who apparently had got hit by a train) is and go out to take a look at it. They face the dangers on their way and they begin to learn what it is to grow up. Afterwards, nothing will ever be the same for them again.
