Supporting and colaboration International Show Caves Association (ISCA), Instituto Geológico y Minero de España (IGME), Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Minas de Madrid, Federación Europea de Espeleología, Federación Española de Espeleología, and Secretaría General de Turismo y Comercio Interior del Gobierno de España. Aim Giving the maximum existing recognition in the international scope to those people or institutions that have contributed in a specially relevant manner to the exploration, knowledge, research, protection, spreading or enhancement of the subterranean environment, and also the cultural and natural heritage related to it. Scope International, without any kind of limitations. Jury It will be formed by personalities of recognized prestige in the subterranean world, who will represent its different aspects, specially the ones referred to the scientific research, heritage protection and the impulse of the sustainable tourism. Award The award, with unique and indivisible character, will be composed by an official diploma and a bronze sculpture, representative from the subterranean world and created by a prestigious artist. Candidatures Can be proposed by any person, entity or institution. With the candidatures, a curriculum vitae of the candidate (person or institution) will be delivered, and also the corresponding recommendation letters or support. Deadline and presentation situation The candidatures can be presented until 14.00 h. of 20th April 2010. They will be sent to to the attention of ACTE’s President, Sr. D.
