ORDER SETTING HEARING
Certain News Media have petitioned the Court to require the City of Orlando to produce
audio recordings of all 9l I calls pertaining to the Pulse Nightclub shootings on June 12,2016 tn
Orlando, Florida. This notice is being sent to advise you that the surviving spouse, or if none the
parents, or if none the adult child, of a deceased victim of the Pulse nightclub shootings on June
12,2016, in Orlando, Florida, has the right to be present and to be heard at a hearing to determine
whether certain audio recordings of 911 calls made on June 12, 2016 arising out of the Pulse
nightclub shootings should be made public, and if so under what conditions.

Ciertas agencias de prensa solicitaron a este Juzgado exigir a la Ciudad de Orlando que
facilite las grabaciones de audio correspondientes a las llamadas efectuadas al 911 el dia 12 de
junio de 2016 en Orlando, Florida en relaci6n con el atentado en el Club Pulse. Este Aviso sirve
para comunicarles que los c6nyuges sobrevivientes de los fallecidos en el tiroteo del 12 dejunio
de 2016 en Orlando, Florida; o en caso de no haberlos, los padres; o en su ausencia, los hijos
adultos, tendrrin el derecho de estar presentes y de ser escuchados en la audiencia en la cual se
determinar6 si se har6n priblicas las grabaciones de las llamadas realizadas al 91 1 ei dia 12 de
junio de 2016, y de ser asi se precisar6 bajo qu6 circunstancias.
S6pase que:
1.
La audiencia est6 fijada para el dia 31 de octubre de 2016 a las 9:30 A.M. en el
Tribunal del Condado de Orange,425 N. Orange Avenue, Orlando, 32801 en la sala
4-C, ante la Honorable Margaret Schreiber, Juez de Primera Instancia.

En la audiencia del dia 3 1 de octubre de 2016, se jvgar| si existen motivos fundados
para sustentar que se le ordene a la Ciudad de Orlando permitir a la prensa poder
iscuchar las llamadas realizadas al 911 y recibir las grabaciones de dichas llamadas.
Al determinar si existe motivo fundado para difundir las grabaciones de las llamadas
al 91 1 , este Juzgado tendra en cuenta: 1) si se requiere tal divulgaci6n para poder
llevar a cabo una evaluaci6n priblica con respecto aI desempeflo gubemamental; 2) la
gravedad de la intromisi6n en el derecho de la familia a su privacidad y si tal
iivulgaci6n constituye el medio disponible con menor injerencia; y 3) la actual
dispoiibilidad de informaci6n similar en otros registros priblicos, sin importar la
forma en la que est6 recogida.

En la audiencia que se celebrar6 el dia 3 1 de octubre de 2016, Ud. tendr6 el derecho
de estar presente y de ser escuchado con respecto a si considera que las grabaciones
de las llamadas al 911 en las que se recoge o queda grabada la voz de su familiar,
deben o no hacerse priblicas; y las razones por las cuales usted asi lo considera. Para
extender al Juzgado sus opiniones al respecto, deberii participar en dicha audiencia en
persona o a trav6s de un abogado. Con el objetivo de traducir cualquier testimonio en
espaflol, se proveer6n los servicios de un int6rprete certificado. En caso de no poder
participar en persona o contratar a un abogado pnra que le represente, Ud. tendrri la
opci6n de escribir una carta al luzgado exponiendo sus opiniones. Sin embargo,
cualquier documento de este tipo deberSL entregarse al juzgado con al menos 48 horas
