St. John The Evangelist, Marble Falls, TX Solemnidad de la Epifanía del Señor CHURCH CALENDAR & MASS INTENTIONS Epiphany of the Lord Some interesting details to ponder from our readings today: Isaiah mentions only gold and frankincense among the gifts that come from all nations. It is Matthew who adds the gift of myrrh—the symbol of the future passion and death of the newborn Messiah. The magi must consult the revelation of faith to find their way to Bethlehem; their own means are not enough. As we listen to God’s word now, what details strike you? How is the Messiah revealed to you today? January 3-11, 2015 SATURDAY 3 4:40 PM Evening Prayer 5 PM Mass:....................... † Rev.
