It is incredible how fast this last month has gone! We hope your holiday season is going well
and that you have a wonderful break! In 4th grade, we have been learning so much! The
students are starting a new unit in reading that focuses on story structure and works of fiction
that stretch their imaginations. In writing, our reports on Colorado cities are coming together
quite nicely. In math, we are working with adding and subtracting large numbers. Our next unit
will be on lines, angles, and triangles. We have also been learning so much about Colorado
History. Our next chapter will be about Spanish Americans in Colorado.
If you have spare time, please try to study your basic multiplication and division facts for the
numbers 1 -12 and remember to read every day!!  If you are working with Reflex Math, try to
find time while you are on break to work through some of the games!

Es increíble que tan rápido pasa el tiempo. Esperamos que lo hayan pasado bien durante los
días festivos y que hayan disfrutado con sus seres queridos. En las aulas de 4to grado, hemos
aprendido muchas cosas. Los alumnos han comenzado una unidad nueva en lectura, que tiene
un enfoque en la estructura de historia y ficción, que estimula el uso de la imaginación. En
escritura, los reportes sobre las ciudades en Colorado se están llevando acabo bastante bien. En
matemáticas, estamos sumando y restando números grandes. La próxima unidad será sobre
líneas, ángulos y triángulos. También hemos aprendido mucho sobre la historia de Colorado. El
próximo capítulo trata sobre los americanos de Colorado descendientes de españoles.
En su tiempo libre, los alumnos deben estudiar la multiplicación y división entre los números 1
al 12 y leer todos los días. No olviden intentar los juegos en Reflex Math.
