E
ssentially self-taught, Andrea Cambio was born in New York
City. Her fascination with science and art was conceived early
on in her youth. Both chemistry-set experiments and painting came
nautural to her. She was taught by her father, a jewelry designer, that
there is no correct way to hold a paintbrush. From an early age she
began to freely interpret life on a canvas. She has chosen a career in
dermatology because it is a natural combination of medicine and the
visual arts. By clinically applying her “eye” to patients, she continues to strengthen and sharpen her gift of observation - a key element
in the creation of her art. Andrea has had multiple exhibits of her
painting in the New York City area. Her work can also be found in
private collections across the world. When not painting, she can be
found practicing medicine in southwest Florida, as well as spending
time with her husband and two daughters.
