Large Item Pickup (LI P) Calendar
Denver Solid Waste Management collects large items, such as household furniture
and mattresses, every nine (9) weeks from your neighborhood. Please use the
directions below and the calendar to ensure proper use of the program and to help
keep your neighborhood clean.
1. C
heck the calendar and map to find
your scheduled LIP week.
2. A
maximum of five large items
(furniture, etc.) will be collected
per LIP cycle (every nine weeks) per
household.
3. P lace your large items out by 7 AM.

Barrel And Manual Customers:
Place LIP out on your normal day of
trash service during your LIP week.
u
Dumpster Customers: Place LIP
out on Monday of your LIP week.
4. Make sure the items are visible.
5. M
ake sure the items are at least 4 feet
away from your trash container, cars
and other obstructions.
6. O
nly set out large items during
your LIP week.
Help Keep Our City Clean
UNACCEPTABLE MATERIALS
We cannot collect electronics, construction and building
materials, wood boards, automotive materials, car
tires, commercial and industrial waste and hazardous
chemicals. A list of registered haulers operating in the
City that can provide service to you at your home and
a list of drop-off facilities are available by calling 311,
online at DenverGov.org/Trash or in the yellow pages. Please note,
these are private companies and fees will apply.

Bag all of your trash and yard
debris.
Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)
To dispose of household chemicals call the City’s
contractor, Curbside HHW Collections, Inc. at
800-449-7587.
u
Make sure your containers and
bags are no larger than 32 gallons
and weigh less than 50 pounds.
u
Tie loose branches in bundles not
larger than 4 feet in length and
weighing less than 50 pounds.
u
Always keep trash container lids
closed to prevent litter.
u
Always keep the area around your
trash container clear.
u
Barrel and manual customers –
please store trash out of public
view until your collection day.
Appliance Collection
Appliances are collected weekly by appointment. To schedule a collection
appointment for Freon-containing appliances (refrigerators, freezers and
air conditioners) and other large metal appliances (stoves, dryers and
washers) call the City’s contractor, Unwanted Appliances at 303430-7142. All metals from your appliances are recycled and all Freon is
captured in an environmentally safe manner.

de patio en bolsas.

MATERIALES NO ACEPTADOS
No podemos recoger electrónica, materiales de construcción
materiales, tablas de madera, automovilísticos, el coche
se cansa, desperdicios comerciales y industrials que
sean químicos peligrosos. Llamando a 311, en línea en
DenverGov.org/Trash o en las páginas amarillas obtendrá
una lista de las empresas de transporte que operan en la Ciudad y pueden
ir a buscar cosas a su hogar y una lista de los vaciaderos donde es possible
dejarlas. Tenga en cuenta que esas compañías privadas cobran dinero.
Desechos Domésticos Tóxicos (HHW)
Para desechar químicos domésticos llamar al contratista,

Recolección de aparatos
Los aparatos se recogen semanalmente, por cita previa. Si desea
programar una recolección de aparatos que contienen freón (refrigeradores,
congeladores y acondicionadores de aire) u otros aparatos metálicos
grandes (cocinas, secadoras y lavarropas) llame al contratista de la Ciudad,
Unwanted Appliances, al número 303-430-7142.Todos los metales
de sus aparatos se reciclarán y todo el gas freón será capturado de manera
ecológicamente segura.
