MATERIAL FACT
Banco Santander Central Hispano, S.A. announces that as of 1st November next,
it will pay a second interim dividend on account of the earnings for the 2003
financial year, for a full amount of 0.0775 euros. This amount is 3.16% higher
than that paid in November last year as the second interim dividend on account of
the 2002 financial year. On Monday, 3rd November, the Bank’s share will trade
ex-dividend.
