Don’t want to part ways with your English textbook? Great news: This year, you don’t have to give it back! Folsom Cordova schools have adopted a new curriculum for English‐language arts and English‐language development classes for all grades K‐12. New textbooks and instruc‐
onal materials will be used star ng in the next school year—replacing the older ones we can’t use anymore. Why might you want to hold onto your books? Here are a few ideas: 
Add it to the shelf as you build your home library. 
Revisit stories, poems, and classic pieces of literature you fell in love with. 
Give it to a younger sibling so they can get a head start on future years. 
Some kids love to play “school” ‐ what be er way to play the role of teacher at home? 
Refresh your memory on challenging concepts you’ll encounter in later years. Whatever your reason, when the final bell rings on May 26 and you pack your bags, feel free to take the English book home for good. Las escuelas de Folsom Cordova han adoptado un nuevo plan de estudios de lengua y literatura inglesa y para los cursos de desarrollo del idioma ingles para grados k‐12. Los nuevos libros y materiales de instrucción serán usados al comienzo del próximo año escolar reemplazando los libros viejos que no podemos usar mas. Por que te quedarías con tus libros viejos? Aquí hay algunas ideas: 
Agrégalos a tu librero mientras construyes tu biblioteca en casa. 
Volver a leer las historias, poemas y piezas clásicas que te encantaron. 
Regalárselos a algún hermanito o hermanita menor para darles un buen comienzo para sus años futuros. 
A algunos niños les gusta jugar a la “escuelita”, que mejor manera de hacer el papel de maestro en la casa? 
Refrescar tu memoria acerca de conceptos di ciles con los que te enfrentaste en estos úl mos años. Cualquiera que sea tu razón, cuando suene la campana final de este año escolar el 26 de mayo y empaques tus cosas, llévate tus libros de ingles a casa para una buena causa…
