El pasado simple y el participio de pasado de los verbos regulares se forma añadiendo ‘-ed’ … ( o ‘-d’, en el caso de verbos acabados en -e) a la forma de infinitivo. 1. En palabras con una vocal corta y que terminan en consonante simple, la consonante se duplica, e.g. stopped, planned. 2. En palabras que acaban en consonante + y, la -y cambia a -i, e.g. carried, hurried. 3. La -l se duplica en inglés británico (pero no en inglés americano), e.g. travelled.
