If a "1" is displayed, set a "0" or vice-versa. ➜ Set the device and group numbers for the controller and quit setup mode (initiate a reset). Sensor fully covered (red) Sensor selected (green) Sensor uncovered (red) Sensor fully covered (red) Sensor range limit (red) light line dark line Contrasting edge Sensor range limit (red) Sensor keys Use these keys to set the web guiding mode: - left edge (left sensor) - right edge (right sensor) - web center (both sensors) When a sensor is selected the green sensor display goes on. When the sensor is fully covered or uncovered the appropriate red displays go on regardless of whether the sensor is selected or not. If one of the sensor fully covered/uncovered displays goes on during automatic mode, the appropriate sensor must be repositioned. If both red displays go on during automatic mode the sensor signal is not valid, the web guider is blocked. When both red displays flash during automatic mode, this indicates a fault (e.g. soiled sensor, temperature error, emergency guiding). Line sensor key Use this key to set the guiding criterion: - light line - dark line - contrasting edge If one of the red sensor range limit displays goes on, the guiding criterion has reached the left or right range limit (depending on the web direction of travel). Web offset/manual adjustment keys Use these keys in manual mode to move the actuator to the left or right. BEA--209515-EN-03 H page 5/12 Web guider command station DO 10.. In automatic mode, the keys are used to offset the web. If both keys are pressed together, the set web offset is cancelled. When a RE 17.. operator panel is used the web offset keys have no function in automatic mode. A web offset is a electrical offsetting of the set position. The web set position is offset during automatic mode. If voltage is supplied to the controller stop input the web offset is stored and the web guider remains in its most recent position. Once the controller stop contact is re-enabled, guiding is resumed on the basis of the former set web offset. The display on the appropriate key goes on when the actuator reaches its end position. The display flashes shortly before the end position is reached. Sensor signal display This display indicates he the output signal of the sensor selected (left, right or sum signal). The further the LED strip lights up, the further the web edge is away from the center of the sensor optical unit. Controller stop display If the controller stop display flashes, 24 V DC is being supplied to the corresponding input. The web guider now only operates in manual or center mode, automatic is blocked. Setup key Various functions can be initiated or selected in conjunction with the setup key: a. setup mode, LED on the key flashes b. expanded setup mode, LED on the key goes on c. further functions depending on the sensor, camera or controller implemented (see appropriate description) The function of the setup mode, procedure on changing parameters and starting the initialization runs is explained in the "CANBus, serial bus and setup editor" description, in all system operating manuals and in the settings and special functions section. Automatic key When the automatic key is pressed the green display on the key goes on. If the display flashes, the controller stop signal is available, automatic mode is blocked. The function of the automatic key depends on the setup settings in parameters 15 and 32 of device X.5 (Master Device), see parameter list. Automatic mode may be: H page 6/12 BEA--209515-EN-03 Web guider command station DO 10.. a. Guiding by the web center, by an edge, line or contrasting edge If the automatic key is pressed, the web guider controls according to the signals emitted by the selected sensors. Both sensors must be selected for web center guiding. b. Hybrid (Machine center) If the automatic key is pressed all support beams and sensors are selected and the web guider controls according to the machine center (automatic hybrid). c. Oscillating The oscillating function must be set in the master device address X.5 in parameter 32 and may be selected in addition to operating modes a. and b. - web center and oscillating - hybrid (machine center) and oscillating In oscillating mode the web is run parallel to the left and right. The oscillating stroke, frequency and mode are set in parameters 18 to 20 of the master device, or directly via command station DO 0022. The web can be offset via the web offset/manual adjustment keys in automatic mode. Center position key If the center position key is pressed, the actuator is set to the stored center position. The display flashes while the actuator moves into position. Once in position, the display on the key stays on. In hybrid minimal mode (master device, parameter 15 = 3) the support beam also goes into park sensor mode. Manual key When the manual key is pressed the actuator can be moved to the left or right within the guiding range via the web offset/manual adjustment keys. When the manual mode key is actuated the display on the relevant key goes on. The display flashes While the web offset/manual adjustment keys are actuated.
