Sherlock Installation Follow these simple steps… 1. 2. Unzip the downloaded file to a temporary directory on your PC For installation on a 32-bit O/S, click on the “Sherlock_x32_Setup” application file • • 3. For installation on a 64-bit O/S, click on the “Sherlock_x64_Setup” application file • • 4. This is a 32-bit Windows application compatible with Win 7 & Win 10 You may need to right-click on the icon and select “run as administrator” This is a 64-bit Windows application compatible with Win 7 & Win 10 You may need to right-click on the icon and select “run as administrator” Follow the installation wizard (next page) Note: You are installing the Sherlock software emulator. The emulator works only on static image files. If you want to evaluate with a real camera, contact your sales representative for a temporary trial license Installation (32-bit install shown) Lets go through the steps… 1. Installation wizard opens – click next 2. Accept license agreement – click I Agree 3. Select “Custom” install – click next 4. Tell us who has access – click next 5. Tell us where to install – click install 6. That was easy – click close to finish Getting Started 1. Locate our shortcuts from the windows start menu This is the only shortcut you will need to evaluate the software. The “User Data Directory” link will open a hidden folder on your PC where the solution and data files are stored Click on the “Sherlock” link to get started Getting Started 2. Here is what you should see when Sherlock launches Double click on the image window to open the options dialog below. This is where you tell the program to get your demo images You are now ready to start evaluating Sherlock. We highly recommend you start by following the tutorial that is included in Section 3 of the User manual.
