Lucky Escape for Woman in Late Night Crash By: Mariel Gabriela Valeriano Ramos Last night, a very lucky lady had an accident. It happened at 11:45 PM at the intersection of Cedar Street and Birch Avenue. The woman, Judy Robbins, had left home in a hurry in order to pick up some medication for her sick child. When she reached the intersection, she slowed down to check for oncoming traffic. That's when a sports car, traveling at high speed, ran the red light and crashed into the side of her car. She was surprised because she had the green light and didn't expect a car to come from the other direction. The driver of the sports car was shocked and visibly upset, immediately getting out of his vehicle to check on Judy. He was apologetic and called 911 right away. Judy, thankfully, escaped with only minor injuries. Paramedics arrived quickly and provided her with the necessary first aid. The incident caused a minor traffic jam, and the police are investigating the cause of the accident. Witnesses say that the driver of the sports car appeared to be distracted, possibly using a mobile phone at the time. Judy Robbins expressed her gratitude for the quick response of the emergency services and the concern shown by the driver and other bystanders.
