Time: 5 minutes. Level: 10 − 11 years old. Resources: Blackboard and chalk. Way of work: whole class. Skills: Speaking. Multiple Intelligence: − Verbal / Linguistic Intelligence. Procedure: What's is it? 1 One pupil is standing with his back to the blackboard while the teacher is drawing an animal on it. The rest of pupils have to describe it without telling its name. The pupil who is standing with his back to the blackboard has to guess the animal that is drawn on the blackboard. For example, the teacher draws a snake and pupils give to the standing one clues, such as it's dangerous, It's long or It hasn't got legs and so on until the standing pupil says It is a snake. When he gets it, he sits down and another pupil goes to his place. Procedure: The teacher has to do a cards the cards bear such comands as: Open the door, shut the window , sing a song , draw a house.... There are three differents flashcards: pink, white and green. The children say a colour and the teacher say them the command, if they do it, they will have a point. This game can also be played in groups arranged in semicircules. One player standing in the centre, shout commands in turn to others. 2 Can use draws , mimics. Level: 12 − 13 years old. Resources: blackboard and chalk. Way of work: whole class. Skills: Listening, Speaking. Multiple Intelligence: − Visual / Spatial Intelligence; − Verbal / Linguistic Intelligence. Procedure: Romeo and Juliet In that room there were a pool of water. Broken glass all over the floor, two deaths, Romeo and Juliet and the window was opened. What's happened?. The pupils have to make questions using the simple past to find out what's happened. They will make questions such as When did the window open? Why was there a pool of water?, etc. The teacher will answer the questions and write the answers on the blackboard, so the students can see the clues until they find out or have an estimated idea. Solution: the window was opened by the wind and threw a goldfish bowl was besides the window. It fell over the floor and it was broken. Level: 10 − 11 years old. Resources: a piece of paper 20 x 20 cm, a pen. Way of work: individual. Skills: Listening. Multiple Intelligence: − Visual / Spatial Intelligence; − Logical / Mathematical Intelligence. Children are going to make a Fortunate Teller. The teacher must make it slowly because he/she says the instructions in English. If there are understanding problems, the teacher writes clues words in the blackboard. Our Fortunate Teller is: • Fold the paper in half. You must make a triangle. • Unfold the paper. • Fold the paper in half again. You must make a triangle. • Unfold the paper • Fold each corner into the middle. • Write a colour on each triangle. • Turn the square over • Fold each corner into the middle again. • Write a number between 1 and 30 on each of the eight triangles. • Fold the square in half twice. • Unfold. Then lift the flaps. Write a fortune in each triangle. • Fold the flaps down again. • Put your thumb and first finger into the flaps. 4 How to use your Fortune Teller: Work with a friend. Level: 7 − 8 years old. Recourses : colours, pencil and copies with a picture for each student. Way of work: Individual. 5 Skills: Writing. Multiple Intelligence: − Logical / Mathematical Intelligence; − Visual / Spatial Intelligence. Procedure: Shapes The teacher gives all pupils a copy with the following picture: The pupils have to colour the picture of the following way: Yellow. Blue Red Green Then the pupils have to count the shapes and write how many rectangles, how many triangles, how many circles and how many squares there are. Resources: paper, pencil, blackboard and chalk Way of work: whole class. Skills: Writing Multiple Intelligence: −Verbal / Linguistic Intelligence. 6 Procedure: Word's Category The teacher writes on the blackboard the following words: Colour, animal, food, clothes, sport, part of the body and transport. All students copy these words on a piece of paper. The teacher says the alphabet in silence until a pupil says stop. The teacher tells them the letter she was thinking at that moment. Students have to write a colour, an animal, food, clothes, a sport, a part of the body and a means of transport. All these words have to begin with the letter what has said the teacher. When the teacher says stop, the pupils can not write more. One pupil says their words. If anybody has written the same word, pupils have got then points. If someone has the same word, gets only five points and if any pupil has written a word's category that nobody more has written, he gets twenty points. The teacher will ask students to spell the more difficult words. The winner is who has got more points.
