Tips for using Enciclopedia Universal en Español Welcome to Enciclopedia Universal en Español from Encyclopædia Britannica. Enciclopedia Universal en Español is a Spanish-language online reference resource found at www.spanish.eb.com. Students can use this resource to search or browse for information in the encyclopedia, dictionary, world atlas, or historical timelines. To return to the home page, click “Página Principal” in the header, or to visit the online help pages click “Ayuda”. Búsqueda (Search) Finding information is fast and easy. 1. Enter a word or phrase into the search box. 2. Select “Enciclopedia” for encyclopedia articles, “Diccionario” for word definitions or “Merriam-Webster Español-Inglés” for Spanish or English translations. 3. Click “Ir” (Go), and the encyclopedia results or dictionary entry will be displayed. Click the encyclopedia article that you would like to view. Diccionario (Dictionary) Enciclopedia Universal en Español provides a “Quick-Click” dictionary to make learning easier. Simply double-click an unknown word, and the definition will appear in a pop-up window. To see the English translation, click the “Merriam-Webster Español-Inglés” link. Merriam-Webster Español-Inglés Users can also translate between Spanish and English from the home page. Under the Búsqueda search box, choose the “Merriam-Webster EspañolInglés” option. In the search box, enter the word to translate, click “Ir” (Go), and the translation will appear. If a Spanish word is entered, it will be translated into English, and if an English word is entered, it will be translated into Spanish.
