Major Infrastructure/ Road Improvements
To Begin May 2015
In the coming months you will see more major
improvements taking place in our community.
Newly Paved Streets, Decorative Sidewalks,
Additional Lighting and Hundreds of New Trees
Planted on Some of Our Major Side Streets.

15th Street Bergenline Avenue to Kennedy Boulevard
22nd Street Palisade Avenue to Kennedy Boulevard
43rd Street Park Avenue to Kennedy Boulevard
48th Street Park Avenue to Bergenline Avenue
49th Street Park Avenue to Bergenline Avenue
15th to 32nd Street Summit Avenue (2015 and 2016)
The following streets will be re-paved with new sidewalks and trees
planted this year.
• 19th Street Summit Avenue to Kerrigan Avenue
• 20th Street Summit Avenue to Kerrigan Avenue
• 27th Street Bergenline Avenue to Kennedy Boulevard
In 2016 several dozen more streets will be paved. The
Commissioners and I are trying to do as many areas as possible, due
to the majority of streets having not been paved in 60 or more years.
Although sidewalks are the responsibility of each homeowner, we
firmly believe in building up the entire infrastructure of our city for
today’s residents and for generations to come.
City Wide Restriping
In an effort to improve your safety- All
pedestrians crosswalks, street lines, and
bus stops will be repainted. The entire
painting or striping will be done citywide.
Decorative Street Lights
All Decorative Street Lights will be
repainted throughout our city. This will
help properly maintain what we have and
continue beautifying each neighborhood.
Planting of Trees
Planting of more trees will take place in
addition to the above projects. We hope to
plant approximately 300 trees at individual
locations throughout our city. They will be
planted when/where residents request a tree.

appreciate your cooperation and

y Cientos de Nuevos Árboles en Algunas de
Nuestras Calles Principales.

Calle 15 hasta la Calle 32 y la Avenida Summit (2015 y 2016)

En el 2016, más calles serán renovadas. Los Comisionados y
Yo estamos haciendo lo mejor posible para renovar más áreas,
ya que la mayoría de las calles no han sido pavimentadas en
más de 60 años. A pesar que las aceras son la responsabilidad
de los dueños de propiedad, creemos firmemente en construir
la infraestructura completa de nuestra ciudad para que los
residentes de hoy y las nuevas generaciones puedan disfrutar
de ellas.
Mejorando Nuestra Seguridad
En nuestro esfuerzo por mejorar nuestra
seguridad – todos los cruces peatonales,
calles y paradas de autobuses serán
pintados nuevamente. Esto se realizará
a lo largo de la ciudad.
Alumbramiento Público
Decorativo
Todo Alumbramiento Público Decorativo
será pintado nuevamente a lo largo de
nuestra ciudad. Esto ayudará a continuar
mejorando cada vecindario.
Sembrando Árboles
Sembraremos más arboles en adición a
los proyectos mencionados anteriormente.
Esperamos sembrar aproximadamente
300 árboles en localidades individuales a
lo largo de la ciudad. Los árboles serán
sembrados cuando y donde los residentes
lo requieran.
Mientras que este trabajo es
extenso, nosotros apreciamos
su cooperación y comprensión.
