LEÓN DEL AMO PACHON (Auditor de Ia Rota Española): Las litisexpensas en los juicios
eclesiásticos.
Tras sentar Ia noción de "litisexpensas", el autor estudia Io que es el depósito de
fondos, deteniéndose a contemplar los diversos casos de negligencia que pueden
acaecer en el supuesto, así como los remedios procesales previstos. A continuación
establece un concepto de litisexpensas, su justificación y momento procesal, así como
los casos de exención. Pasa luego a determinar Ia imposición de costas en los incidentes, Ia resolución sobre expensas en Ia sentencia final, y concluye con una exposición sobre Ia tasación y Ia exención de expensas y daños.

Pontificia de Comillas): Libertad de Ia Iglesia e intervención de los Estados en los
nombramientos episcopales.
Parte el autor de Ia libertad de Ia Iglesia proclamada en el Concilio Vaticano II,
y especialmente, en cuanto a Ia elección de jerarquías, en el Decreto de Pastorali
Episcoporum Muñere. Seguidamente hace una recapitulación de los Estados que gozan
del privilegio de presentación, del derecho de prenotificación oficiosa, y, finalmente,
de España y su peculiar privilegio en Ia materia.

SEVERiNO ALVAREZ MfiNÉNDEZ (Catedrático en Ia Facultad de Derecho canónico de
Ia Pontificia Universidad de Santo Tomás, de Roma): La reforma de Ia Congregación del Santo Oficio.
Hace en primer lugar un resumen histórico de los intentos que se han hecho
tratando Ia reforma de Ia Curia Romana, para venir a parar a las diversas propuestas
que en este sentido se hicieron durante las sesiones del Vaticano II. A continuación
se hace un comentario del Motu Proprio "Integrae servandae" por el que se reforma
Ia Sagrada Congregación del Santo Oficio.
ISACio PÉREZ FERNÁNDEZ: Objetividad de Ia censura previa.
Ante el aggiornamento del Derecho canónico, preconizado por el Papa Juan XXIII,
el autor hace un estudio de Ia censura previa tal y como actualmente se encuentra
configurada en el Codex Iuris Canonici, para terminar planteando una serie de sugerencias ante una posible complementación del canon 1393.

Como homenaje a Ia figura del autor, recientemente desaparecido, se publica esta
nota acerca de Ia precedencia del Vicario general cuando, como canónigo, forma parte
del Cabildo Catedral.
El autor estudia con particular detención el Decreto de Ia Sagrada Congregación
del Concilio de 17 de mayo de 1919, comparándola con Ia Jurisprudencia anterior y
haciendo una severa crítica de su contenido.

El autor se propone hacer un juicio crítico de Ia reciente obra de Bhüler sobre
Ia doctrina de Rudolf Sohm en materia de rekciones Iglesia y Estado.

After explaining the notion of litigation expenses the author studies the meaning
of the deposit of funds, mentioning the different cases of neglect which can take place
and the judicial remedies provided. He then studies the concept of litigation expenses,
their justification and the possible cases of exemption. He then goes on to consider
the imposition of costs in its various stages, the determination concerning expenses
in the final judgement. He concludes with an explanation concerning fees and exemption
from expenses and compensation.
CARLOS CORRAL, S. I. (Professor of Canon Law, Comillas University): Liberty of the
Church an intervention of the State in Episcopal Nominations.
The author bases his study on the liberty of the Church which was proclaimed
in Vatican II, especially with regard to the election of Bishops, in the Decree De
Pastorali Episcoporum Munere. He then gives a summary of thoses States which
enjoy the privilege of presentation or the rights to prior official notification. Finally
he considers Spain and her peculiar privilege in this matter.

Pontifical University of St. Thomas, Rome): The Reform of the Congregation of
the Holy Office.
First of all he gives a summary of the attempts previously made to reform the
Roman Curia, ending with the various proposals made concerning this during the
sessions of Vatican II. There follows a commentary on the Motu Proprio "Integrae
Servandae" by which the Sacred Congregation of the Holy Office was reformed.
ISACio PÉREZ FERNÀNDEZ, O. P.: Censorship prior to publication.
In view of the aggiornamento of Canon Law announced by Pope John XXIII the
author studies the question of censorship prior to publication as it stands at present
in the Code of Canon Law. He ends with a series of suggestions in view of a possible
modification of can. 1393.

LEON GROMiER (Canon of the Vatican and Consultor to the Sac. Congregation of
Rites): Precedence of the Vicar General.
As a tribute to the person of the author, recently dead, we are publishing this
brief note concerning the precedence of the Vicar General when, as a canon, he
forms part of the Cathedral Chapter.
The author studies with special care the Decree of the Sac. Congregation of the
Council of 17th May, 1919. He compares it with former Jurisprudence and gives a
severe criticism of its contents.
JosE FuNK, S.V.D. (Doctor in Canon Law): Church and State in Sohm.
The author sets out to make a critical judgement of a recent work by Bhuler
concerning the doctrine of Sohm in the matter of Church and State relationships.
