By mutating its use, its form and its design, the modern constructions do not only satisfy one demand but other possibilities as well. “The wallbox” is a concept that represents versatility and practicality by being a singular block that keeps all the necessary furniture inside it. The possibility of changing the elements distribution it’s an excellent option for developing diverse spatial organizations and different kinds of activities. Such as a presentation on a panel, a small table surrounded by chairs, a singular conter of information and so on. The structure is based on a counterbalance system where the base of the stand is a solid and heavy set of cardboard pieces. The vertical elements support themselves by transversal assembled pieces that put together the vertical and the horizontal structures. The proposal consists of 189 different pieces, using a total of 29 panels. Moreover, the project has an outstanding profit of material having only a 4.7% of waste. One of the main intentions of “The Wallbox” is to have a visual impact of movement and dynamism providing a different perception depending on the spectator position and movements. The proposal must include the design of a 4’ high counter hall, three stools and at least one horizontal element for marketing material display. The proposal must also have made sure the equivalent to two DIN A3 space was available for the Architect-US and Cigraph logos. congratulations to all participants !
