NOTICE OF ELECTION AND NOTICE OF DATE FIXED
FOR SUBMITTING ARGUMENTS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the following measure is to be voted on at the
General Election, to be held within the City of Los Banos, County of Merced, on
Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Polling Places will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
on Election Day.
CITY OF LOS BANOS – CITY COUNCIL BY-DISTRICT ELECTION MEASURE:
LOS BANOS COUNCIL DISTRICTS. Shall four members of the legislative body of the
City of Los Banos be elected by districts described in Ordinance No. __ and the Mayor
of the City of Los Banos be elected on a citywide basis by the voters of the entire city to
serve a two-year term? YES/NO
NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 18, 2014, is
hereby fixed as the final date and time for the filling of arguments, not to exceed three
hundred (300) words in length, in favor or against the measure. To be eligible for
printing and distribution as provided by law, any such arguments must be received and
filed with the Merced County Registrar of Voters/Elections Office, 2222 M Street, Room
14, Merced CA 95340 no later than said date and time and must be accompanied by a
Statement of Accuracy, pursuant to California Elections Code Section 9600, and be
signed and dated by the proponent(s) and author(s), if different.
NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that if an argument in favor of and an argument
against the measure are submitted, copies will be provided to the respective authors in
order that they may submit a rebuttal argument not to exceed two hundred fifty (250)
words. Rebuttal arguments must be filed not later than 5:00 p.m. on August 28, 2014,
and must also be accompanied by a Statement of Accuracy, signed and dated by the
author(s).

PARA PRESENTAR ARGUMENTOS
LA PRESENTE SE NOTIFICA, que la siguiente medida es para ser votado en la
Elección General, que se celebrará en la ciudad de Los Banos, Condado de Merced, el
martes 4 de Noviembre de 2014. Lugares de votación estarán abiertos desde las 7:00
am hasta las 8:00 pm el día de las elecciones.
CIUDAD DE LOS BANOS - AYUNTAMIENTO POR EL DISTRITO MEDIDA
ELECTORAL:
LOS DISTRITOS CONSULARES DE LOS BANOS. Serán cuatro miembros del cuerpo
legislativo de la ciudad de Los Banos elegidos por distritos descritos en la Ordenanza N
º __ y el Alcalde de la Ciudad de Los Banos elegidos sobre una base en toda la ciudad
por los votantes de toda la ciudad para cumplir una de dos plazo de un año? SI / NO
SE LE ESTA AVISANDO que no más tarde de las 5:00 pm el 18 de agosto de 2014,
queda fijado como la fecha y la hora final para el llenado de argumentos, que no
exceda de trescientos (300) palabras de extensión, a favor o en contra la medida. Para
ser elegible para la impresión y distribución de lo dispuesto por la ley, dichos
argumentos deben ser recibidas y archivadas en el Registro Electoral del Condado de
Merced / Oficina de Elecciones, 2222 M Street, Room 14, Merced CA 95340 a más
tardar en dicha fecha y hora, y debe vaya acompañada de una declaración de
precisión, conforme a la Sección 9600 del Código de Elecciones de California, y ser
firmado y fechado por el proponente (s) y autor (s), si es diferente.
SE LE ESTA AVISANDO que si un argumento a favor y un argumento en contra de la
medida son sometidas, las copias serán proporcionados a los respectivos autores, a fin
de que puedan presentar un argumento de refutación que no exceda de doscientos
cincuenta (250) palabras. Argumentos de réplica deben ser presentadas a más tardar
17:00 el 28 de agosto de 2014, y también deben ir acompañadas de una declaración de
precisión, firmado y fechado por el autor (s).
